I have no problem with wearing fur. I do have a problem with the inhumane
methods of killing an animal in a certain way just because a certain ethnic group has always done it that way.
And that is why they are still killed in that way.

Banes, are you really only expressing disgust in how these animals are processed ? or do you truely believe that we (humans) should not kill animals for any reason. I ask this because (1) your earlier comment to me wishing I accidently shoot myself while hunting and (2) you are using the shock value of the avatar and video from a like-minded organization to obviously promote your thoughts ... which BTW only works on children, and adults who don't know any better.

i wish the video wasnt on petas website, everyone associates me with peta now, fuck peta, the video is not about peta, its about having some god damned compassion, kill the animals, but kill them, what i saw in the video was only torture, so i guess its how these animals are processed, but i do feel that killing animals for sport is pretty stupid and unneccessary (as is probably fur and other shit, but i like eating animals, and need to do so), the video is shocking, thats not the point, its supposed to work on children and adults because neither should want to go through that experience, its appeal is in empathy, not in shock value

Well, there's plenty of points for me to argue here, but I'm afraid it'd all be for naught. If it makes you feel any better, my main reason for hunting and fishing these days is for the fresh, "unfarmed specificaly for human consumption meats". It's sad to me that alot of people go through life without ever knowing what real (wild) meats taste like (venison, fowl, fish).  Processed meats, vegetables, and fruits are simply shit, with very little taste and nutrition compared to their wild counterparts.

I used to hunt, but it has become to big of a production.
My job (through one of our customers) provided a very modern cabin we had in Llano, but since last year it is now gone so it is gotten to be too much trouble.
I will though, eat any venison in any form anyone brings me

Fishing on the other hand is still pretty much a given.
I like to spend at least one day a year on one of Cap'n Elliott's boats

the animals in the video only seemed to have been beaten into submission, if they had been killed it would be different, im sure theres a pretty sure fire way to kill them quickly and easily, theres no need to just beat them a bit and then skin them alive, their fur is still just as valuable skinned from a dead animal

well art i have less of an objection to you killing your animals for meat than i do for these animals being skinned alive anyway, maybe we should leave it at that, besides if you dont kill the deer, someone else will kill a chicken that youd eat instead, so i guess im ok with that, as long as youre doing it for the food rather than for the fun
