Quad on, for the win! I feel it will take far too long without it off, and yes I know it's endurance.. but I remember how last time everyone complained of numb arses because it took so long :p.. plus it's fun to get it once in awhile.

Remember that this will be a fairly insane frag fest, so let's go ahead and throw balance to the winds. Invuln was on at the ts500II, and I didn't see anyone complaining about that.

I sway on the side of saying that no quad will indeed drag the match out... I would like it to be randomly spawned though.

Random may keep the game fresh, but only if you have all the powerups spawning in different locations.  Make all powerups spawn in random areas.  May as well throw all powerups into the mix.  No reason to have one and ban the rest, all or nothing.

Once again you make an understandable point.  Agreed, and if you make one powerup enabled, you may as well make them all configurable to where they all spawn randomly across the map.  Only enabling the Quad is essentially the same thing as modifying the game.  I don't remember an option in the original Quake II settings that only has Quad enabled while disabling the rest.  Could be wrong as I'm not a Quake II techinical guru by any means.

No, it just promotes throwing something new in the mix.
And i'm preaty sure that the random spawn settings would apply to ALL Power Ups.
Or atleast I would hope so.

On or Off, I don't care, I just think if it's on, let's throw in a twist for fun.

I totally understand you Elys, but one thing I *don't* want to see more of, skill regardless, is the same action happening in the same area. I know you avoided the rail pool in the last match, but I thought it was a little sad that the same kind of thing was happening everywhere. I believe this would encourage a bit more cross-sectional movement, other than (the majority) of people sticking wherever they spawned.

That may have just been the map though, I know maps like predm1 and fusion aren't quite as segregated as city64.
