1. Dogs will tilt their heads and try to understand every word you say. Cats will ignore you and take a nap.

2. Cats look silly on a leash.

3. When you come home from work, your dog will be happy and lick your face. Cats will still be mad at you for leaving in the first place.

4. Dogs will give you unconditional love until the day they die. Cats will make you pay for every mistake you've ever made since the day you were born.

5. A dog knows when you're sad. And he'll try to comfort you. Cats don't care how you feel, as long as you remember where the can opener is.

I have had a sheltie named Dottie since 1997 and she will be 10 in july.

All that being said, I am now and forever more a dog person, specifically a sheltie person, until the day i die.

Every time you come home your dog acts like you were leaving forever and never coming back!

My dog is smarter than me and learns something new everyday, unlike me!

I fear with everthing in my soul, of facing the day that this pet dies.

I would wish that I would die before her, but I wouldn't want to do that to my dog, so I have to face the fact that she is old and will die soon.

That is the really only bad thing about having pets

The Cat's Diary

--Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling
objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates
and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my
contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat
something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that
keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust
them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a
mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped
this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly
demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made
condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.
Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I
was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard
that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must
learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of
my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must
try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs. I am
convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and
seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.
The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the
guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My
captors have
arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is
safe. For now...

I agree, when you love pets that much its like losing a child

I feel the same way about my Diva Girl. Especially since my boyfriend keeps telling me "pittbulls don't live long, prepare yourself for it"

Not that there is anything wrong with that....

I have a huge dumb dog, that drives me nuts. I love em, but sometimes I think about staging an accident for his 'sleeping' time. Joking of course.....
