(Might consider putting up one tourney server that requries it, dunno. But i wouldn't want to get all draconian on the existing servers...)

Actually I agree with Haunted, ban Nocheat, but allow other clients such as Q2.exe Apr etc.. People connecting with R1q2 will show that they are valid and people won't scream WALL/HAX.

Well Good, that was my main concern. Just like Imigrants helps America grow, Newbs help the Q2 community grow.
Most people new to Q2 (and there many newcomers) does not know about different clients and such.
It's a good thing that they can see a server and log on and play without some error message saying something about "no valid anticheat/R1Q2 client".

Now about NoCheat, I agree with Haunted on this, all NoCheat clients should be refused.

Well how can I put this, Hmmm.
Well, I STRONGLY believe 90% of NoCheaters ARE cheaters. And NO ONE can ever convince me different.

I have seen it TOO MANY TIMES.
Someone logs on with the NoCheat call and you know beyond a shadow of a dought, right then and there, whether you recognize the alias or not, within 2min they are going to completely dominate the game, each and every time, no matter what.
This comes from over 5 years of playing and seeing the same thing time and time again without fail.
Even with over a 200ping.
The only people I have EVER seen these players loose to is OTHER Nocheat players.

Now, this leads me to think one of two things.
1. The only players in the world that uses NoCheat are super experts that have honed the're skills to absolute flawless perfection, AND no newbs or mid level players what so ever use NoCheat EVER.
or
2. Most using NoCheat........Cheats.

I know ya'll might think this sounds crazy, but I swear i've been chain gunned "after" I have already turned a corner in avoidance, as if the bullets actually followed me around the durn corner !!!
And don't even get me started about how many times it felt like I actually got "sucked" into a rockets path.
That's just plain wierd when that happens.

This happened just a lttle while back by a NoCheat player with a 200+ ping
He fired 3 rockets at me from a distance, I managed to avoid the better part of them, and it was clear all I had was a phasor, and I wasn't even firing back at him with it. After the 3 rockets he finished me off (from a distance) with a SS. All the while there was someone else standing 4 foot to my left firing a RAIL GUN straihgt at him with no success. Yet he COMPLETELY ignores this guy to finish off someone holding a phaser ???? But I was in his FOV first. It was like he was locked on to me and couldn't do nothing about it but go with it.
2 people standing side by side and your going to do every thing in your power to get that guy with that phaser and ignore the one trying everything to get you with a Rail Gun ????

Incidentally, it doesn't matter what kind of l337 h4x a client has, it can't tell the server to bend bullets around corners or suck you into the path of rockets...

(Essentially, all the client can tell the server is: "I was facing this direction, and I had these buttons pressed.")

Yeah, Dukie can probably explain the "bullets following me around a corner" thing since he's still dialup. It's called LAG and happened to me all the time when on dialup and my attacker was lpb. It rarely happens now except when my connection route goes to shit.

An aimbot with the lowest fov will alternately lock on to multiple targets if they (the targets) are far enough away AND close enough together. An aimbot with rl is almost useless, and completely so at distance. Bots do not lead the target.

I think most nocheat users are ok these days, but had the same opinion about it as DeathStalker

YEP! I get popped by rail slugs fired by people when I was sure I made it around that damn corner.

On the same note, I am amazed at how many LPB's will just blindly follow me around a corner, when they have got to know damn well that I fire a rocket back at every corner I go around

In this particular case, I have been both the LPB chasing after someone AND the one shooting rockets behind me in hopes of getting a kill. =D
