Actually I think I've seen a lot more of these kind of kids in honda civics then accords.

I drive an accord. Unfortunately its 26 years old. (1980 ROFL)
I bought it for $700, put a new fuel pump and filter in it, did a little tune up,
and replaced the brake master cylinder, and the car has run perfectly for the past 2 years.
It gets 35 mpg and it's not all that scary to drive on the freeway...
(as long as you pretend all those shitty california drivers aren't right next to you)

It's mostly the old people in their land-yachts that bother me.
I've been sideswiped by an 80 year old woman in a huge old station wagon, and
I can say from experience that it is not fun.

Before I hit the 'big time' working where I am now... While in college I worked for Shaw's SuperMarket. If you were ever a cashier at a supermarket you may appreciate this. We created it during some REALLY boring closing nights... Kinda goes along with the STUPID PEOPLE idea.

PEOPLE WHO ORDER 50 MILLION THINGS AT THE DRIVE-THROUGH

This particular breed of stupid person will sit at the drive-through for at least 5 entire minutes, ordering enough food to feed the entire population of Zaire, talking to the drive-through person as if they were speaking to a 3-year-old (

Retail sucks. Customers sucked. I will never work a retail job again. Fuck that!

Try blending it with trades services. I work for the HomeDepot as the flooring installs co-ordinator.

Here's a list of things:

• People don't understand that everything my installer does comes at a cost TO THEM
• "I don't care what the other place is offering their prices at. If you like them so much, go there.
• Lawyer: "I refuse to pay for concrete levelling (charges get up to $1000). You guys said it would only cost this much." Me: "Sir I have a document that is signed by you that details any additional charges for floor prep/levelling are the responsibility of the customer." Lawyer: "Nobody reads the fine print, you should have told me!!" Me: "What is your profession again?" Lawyer: (--silence--)
• I can't schedule installs until all the merchandise is in hand. No matter how simple it is to understand that if a date is set and the special order product is late then the whole job is Fucked!! I try to explain to the customer but it's like the stupid train keeps running them over.
• My guys install floors and wall tile, THAT'S IT! No, tey will not install your hot water tank. If you ask if you can pay them under the table to do work they will remove all your product, we will give you a full refund, and we will refuse to do business with you. I think it's pretty fair. We don't do shadey work, if you want to be shadey, go elsewhere.
• When a customer comes in and selects our special of the month hardwood and gets a measure, waits a month and a half to purchase the estimate, then gets furious as to why there isn't any merchandise left I laugh. I just stop what I'm doing and chuckle a little bit. I do this because I know, my manager will give them a regular stock hardwood that is 2x the price out of my sales budget.
• If you guys know a bit about hardwood floors you'd understand this one. A guy comes in and selects a bamboo hardwood floor to install in his 28th floor penthouse that has a concrete subfloor. This product is a nail down only. You can't nail it into concrete. I inform his the second his paperwork request hits my desk. Customer begins to lose it "Nobody told me that!!!" I ask him if he spoke to anybody about his request. He said he filled out the form himself after looking at the wood. I must have let a chuckle out b/c he asked what was so funny. I told him that how can anybody tell him if he hasn't spoken to anyone but me? He then says he asked my manager and said that "he" approved it.  dude! Don't lie to me.... my manager's a girl. I ripped up his request and told him we will not handle his install and he can go elsewhere. He then tries to play like he's my friend and informs me that his last contractor walked out on him. Gee, I don't know why.

Do you have any knowledge in flooring installation? I doubt it. It's a great trade to be a part of, except the carpeting side. Kicking carpet will wreck your body. Our team leader for carpet developed and pattented his own carpet stretcher/kicker that works off of a ratchet system.

I install tile and hardwood every once in a while. Good money there in tile work and you can get pretty creative.

I've been doing technical support (computers) for a while and sometimes there's hilarious situations.

- I've had someone call because the label printer she has doesn't have power. Since we support 2 towers and we're sitting in one of them we go se the client most of the time and don't do a lot of phone support. So I go see her and I ask if she checked the connection to make sure it was plugged in the power. Sure she did! So I decide to check anyway, the label printer is plugged in a power bar on the ground. I check the power bar, which is plugged in the power bad. So apparently power bars don't produce the energy?

- I've had someone call me because she wanted help to tilt her monitor a little.

- I had someone call to say they didn't have the option to log off of the computer. I read this and I thought I might have to reinstall windows or something... So I go see her anyway and ask that she shows me what she means exactly. So she go start/shut down/log off. So the computer logs off normally (well to me at least...). I ask her what's the problem, so she points me to the log in screen and show me her name is still there. And when she tries to log off again she doesn't have the option. So I had to explain her that she was already logged off and could log off more.

- I can't count the number of times where I got people call me to say that there must be somethign wrong with their monitor, cable, connection, computer because there's nothing showing on the screen. And when I went there magically pressing the power button on the screen fixed everything.

- I've had someone call me to get some cardboard boxes...I'm like where do you think you're calling?

- And apparently 2 weeks vacation is enough for at least 50% to forget their passwords.

Anyway I could go on but I gotta go fix other problems right now...

oh god don't get me started on IT difficulties.
I'm constantly amazed by the idiots I work with and their unfailing capacity to destroy a perfectly good computer network.
If it wouldn't annoy me so much, no one would be able to pass anything into our network from the internet thru our firewall.
I spend hours every week, removing a bunch of malware and spyware crap, because some sales women have to know exactly what temperature it is at their house while they are at work, or they can't be bothered to open a browser to search for a web page.

For such incredibly technologically-incapable people, you'd be surprised how many random ass programs they can install and run simultaneously in their taskbar.

I have to go take a long smoke break every once in a while, when I notice that the T1 is running at dial-up speed, because 15 assholes can't seem to understand that AIM and MSN messenger and bittorrent lag the shit out of everyone else when they leave 3 different messaging/P2P programs open at once on 15 different comps, running thru one connection to the net.

Next week is my last with this crap. I got a new job so no more dealing with incompetent people. I still don't know exactly what the new job is going to be but after 2 years of technical support I really welcome a change.
