your processor has LITTLE affect on your ping, in dial up anyways. It all depends on the access numbers and the distance of the server you're connecting to.

same thing happens to me.  And I will tell you, I only have a cheapie 8MB vidcard, I only run in software.   I get software lag despite my ping.  I noticed a huge difference in gameplay smoothness when I had my 2Ghz.  So I can say fairly that hardware does play a big role in the game.  However, I did not try to use that disadvantage as an excuse, I don't need to make any.   Some people will say 'well upgrade then', then I say 'get a better internet connection'.  40% hardware / 40% internet connection / 20% skill.

i could get the demo of him bragging about how he was going to rape me in this one, before the match.  Thats why this demo has been posted.
