Ew, Sigma, what are you using, a Matrox M3D?  I have that as a GL side card for my S3 Trinity 64 on my old Pentium system (which hasn't run in about ten years).  Seriously, I've never had a problem on that map with regards to rendering, but then Tokay's Revival (the map I made) reaches over 1000 triangles in certain places without anyone else on the map and it's fine on my current system.  Granted, it's never been tested with 20 players (its maximum limit) and it looks as if there are at least that many in the TS500 now, so you could have a point.

I cap @ 45fps on that map. No other. So it could just be mine. I got r_speeds of over 4000 in some parts.

Hey I guess I'm jsut complaining that I can't participate in this event because of the map. Nobody else has any problems so I'm looking for map errors.

S'all good.

If I can't tweak my system so it can run this map, even though others I have no problems with, then that's alright for me.


(Was looking foreward to a rampage with the BFG. hehe)

this map blows :) i really think you guys could have picked something better

EDIT: i will be withdrawing my entry in ts500 if this map is played. after playing a game on mutant with players, i find its the biggest piece of gay ever

I didn't issue a map vote because I didn't think 3 days was enough for everyone to vote, so, I guess this is going to have to be the standard.  I'm going to put up a list, and you guys will vote like before, just be quick about it pls :)  Plus that line was a cut and paste.  Anyways, everyone still seemed to have wanted 500 frags again.

Which drivers are you using?  There are some serious issues with series 80 Forceware, but I think your video card is a bit too powerful for a P3.  You should still hit 60 with just about anything, even with the Quake 2 engine's limitations.

I do agree, however, that this map could benefit roughly as much as my map from an enhanced BSP program.


I'm running the NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver v1.8425
Using forced refreshrate of 85 for my 640x480, 800x600, and 1024,768 resos.
