Hey I was checking out the map on the server and there's a lot of wasted detail in the map that bogs down slower systems. I explained alot of my findings to Quadz while he was there and I said I'd post about it.

I've attached a couple screens that show an example of extra polys. On the ladders there's visible edges that can be trimmed down. Same thing on the central citadel where the RG is, the floor is wider at some points than the base.

Even on the Pygmy maps I can get 60-85 fps (cl_maxfps 85) but on this map I get no greater than 45 (timerefresh gives 85).

Maybe it's my system only but if more people experience this I think we should choose a different map. One that can be ran smoothly by all involved.

\/ Notice the glitches in the textures. It should be a smooth flat texture.

OK, this map will continue as planned.  A backup map will be chosen in case of any problems, but really, just try lowering the detail slightly, or the resolution  ;)

 - the map looks great, it has good "bones"

Bad
 - lots of unarmed players
 - perhaps not enough ammo
 - rail camping

Ugly
 - lots of telefrags

Keep the central arena and ditch the other wings.
