What iD used to model the IMPs in Doom3
I will never look at another bird the same again.
Parrots are kinda strange like that. Some of them will pluck their feathers out WITHOUT having that disease, they can sometimes do it because of depression or neglect. My cockatoo did for a while. I used to have another dog, a female boxer, that he was kind of attached to. I used to put him down on the floor with her and he'd chase her around, they'd play together. She started getting these seizures that would make her collapse into a coma-like state for a while. She eventually fell into one and never came out. When she died, my bird got so depressed that he started plucking his feathers. He didn't look quite THAT bad, but it was pretty close.
You should see what cockatoos look like when they are babies before they have feathers. They look like little aliens.

fish
I have a fish that just wont die
My BF got me for my birthday a 'community tank' 7 years ago and the fish he picked out killed ALL my fish.
now that one bastardette wont die. its 7 yrs old and im sick of it. I still haven't been able to have the fish I want 7 yrs later...
there is a river near by ... I was thinking of taking a walk and hucking it in there and letting it play 'survival of the fittest' with the salmon, since she loves to beat up & kill all other fish. HAHA no i couldnt... I joke!

I could just picture you nonchalantly strolling down the river bank with a big ass tank in your hands and all of a sudden whoops, the only hint that there was a fish in there was the trickle of water and a few lone pebbles in the bottom of the tank.

sigma i have a 25 gallon no carrying that! I'd just throw it in a bowl or bag. its a Jack Dempsey
nah dwx i dont fish personally, but it is really popular around here with a lake 15 mins away and a river 2 mins away.
I dunno i feel bad because they suffer, its not like a quick bullet. You either bash their heads or let them suffocate. Some people cut off the heads but either way its pretty brutal I just lost any interest in hunting/fishing I'm to sensitive for that now

I had some guy clean a salmon I caught on the Vedder river and when he cut out the heart and it was still beating on a huge boulder. Their brains process pain but they aren't sentiently aware of how the pain is affecting them. They have more of a natural reaction to pain.

I have no problem with the gutting and prepping of the meat actually. I just dont want to be the one to, or see them being killed. I've had enough of that for a life time.

Salmon and other cold water oily fish like trout should be cleaned while alive and healthy, otherwise they taste like shit. Warm water fish like bass, crappie, bream, catfish don't suffer from this effect and can be put on ice for a good while before cleaned.
I too am sympathetic to the fishes feelings and try to keep the knife blade away from the sensitive areas while cleaning it.

Martini came home from the vet on Friday. We kept him in the house over the weekend. This morning I let him outside before I went to work. Hopefully he'll be around for diner when I get home. He made friends with the dog but the other cats are still giving him a hard time.

ok i understand cleaning while the body is warm immediately (1 min) after killing it, but gutting a fish alive = crewl and unnecessary

Actually for trout, I cut the head off first, gut it, then skin and de-fin it and strip the black stuff below the backbone. Very humane.
