Q2PRO lighting broken

When shooting the machine gun or chaingun the yellow light/muzzle flash is just a line across the screen doesnt render correctly with v sync off, in yamagi if you cap the framerate/lower fps it fixes this issue when running v sync off this doesnt solve the issue only v sync on does in Q2PRO yamagi,q2pro are all built off r1q2 and r1q2 is where this issue started mod creator breaking the goddamn lighting is there a work around to get it to render correctly in quake 2 pro with v sync off?

I may take you up on that

Once every 5 or 6 maps quake crashed when I run my config.
Some nights it doesn’t happen,  some nights it happens 2 or 3 times.
I run my config at the start of every map.

Someone should start a 'how-to build a config' thread, each OP post could be a modular focus on specific config stuff and anyone could post extra info for OP post updates, sub sections for different Q2 source ports would be necessary.

that works too, but adding the cvar to your config will save you having to type it

Don’t use pro,  but did you try vid_restart afterwards?

To get a black sky ive always use actual black sky files,  think they may even be TGA for better resolution

there's my config, i tried to capture the  muzzleflash from chaingun/machine gun just rendering as a ''tear in the screen instead of rendering correctly in a screenshot but that doesnt seem possible.

yamagi just crashes if i try to join a weapons of destruction server lol it's not great, just game closes out to desktop no error lol.

Anyone know where to download DirectQ II/DirectQ2? impossible to find a link to dl it, they're all dead i've been wanting to try it out.
