I had a dinner this weekend...

5 ipa's on draft that i like, softshell crabs and fried shrimp as apps

10 oz prime rib + 2 crab cakes as the entree + mashed potatoes and mixed veges

it was........ the greatest

DAYUM!!! That's a bit more than a snack!

It was unfreakingbelievably good. Very nice restaurant--the crabcakes were excellent although perhaps a little too cakey and not enough backfin/lump blue crab meat. But, the fact that I had prime rib alongside it sort of made that a nonfactor haha.

Went to a more casual place the following night:

I had the market fresh fish sandwich(grilled swordfish) with fries and coleslaw.. similar amount of ipa's on draft by stone, lagunitas, etc. It was delicious as well.

I don't eat many snacks unless I'm fishing or hunting or something, might get a pack of jerky or whatever. 'Bout it aside from what I mentioned in a previous post.. Even then I'd want the snack to be freshly caught/shot then smoked(a bag of smoked marlin, goose jerky, etc.)

Uncrustables by Smuckers. PB&J in a small pastry. I was really hooked on these during my years at high school.

Yeah, if it's plain yogurt it's actually a quite healthy way to get the good bacteria in your gut. I believe it's called Lactobacillus Bulgaricus. Also, Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidus are supposed to be in it, really good stuff. Plain non-flavored whole-milk yogurt is usually highest in the good bacteria that allows the flora to flourish in your GI tract. Actually, from what I've heard, ALL dairy-based products have at least a little bit of this good bacteria in them, but yogurt is maxed out in this capacity for some reason. I guess it's the conversions of the bacteria as it grows when they make yogurt that causes such a high level.

As a related side-note, I know whenever I get a bad stomach illness (rarely) and I'm spraying "rice water" practically, I eat yogurt for a week and it really makes a huge impact. Well, that and antibiotics. No sense in staying sick longer than you have to nowadays...I don't get people who don't go to the doctor and stay sick for a month or more when it could've just been a few days. But I digress...

Yogurt is just good for you in general. However, if you're already healthy, it doesn't really do anything for you other than keeping your flora maxed out at best.

Yeah, I should try plain yogurt in that situation. I only have plain yogurt when I eat curry or some other rice-based dish. It's really good with that. I love the sour flavor it adds to those kinds of dishes. When I have yogurt with fruit, usually the yogurt is vanilla-flavored.
