Possible Pak File?

I know I was kicked for spiked models, I looked at my pak files those days and found nothing in them that's sucipicious. Even now I still check my pak files for spiked models or anything related to spiked models and come up with 0 results.

I can indeed believe you were not able to locate the problem.

But just FYI, if my understanding of how AC works is correct, the probability that it was wrong for this kind of file check would be about 1/2⁶⁴.

That is, a 1 in 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 chance that it was wrong. So I'm pretty sure there was a spiked model there somewhere, even if you couldn't find it.

That said, I hope going forward you have an enjoyable and trouble-free Quake2 experience.

Who said I was ever a master of the english langauge. I only know what portion should be taught to people in my grade level. I'm not incompetent to find anything in my pak files cause there isn't anything in there. I've previously said that AC has to be mistaken on my pak files cause I don't have any spiked models in my folders. I know I'm forced to use AC which is fine with me its not like my feelings are so hurt, and yet you have a choice of using AC or not using it. You choose to use it because you don't want somebody starting to say you're sucipicious than if somebody calls hacks they could BLATANTLY say it isn't you because you have anticheat running. Compared to the player that dosen't have it running they would start to point the finger toward the player saying someone is hacking when they're not using AC. You clearly CHOOSE to get involved into this post thread. You clearly DID help me with colormap.pcx stuff. All I have seen so far is you blaming others without anything to back it up, and everyone else bringing mountains of irrefutable evidence to the table. I don't think he "were trying to am a douche" by posting something like that. People are genuinely concerned when something like that comes up and notice that you aren't using AC anymore.

Besides, you can end this whole discussion by posting your pak file so that people can check it themselves, but you haven't done that yet.  Because as Sex'Tyfe said,

Is a modified tris.dm2 file the same as a spiked model? Obvisously alot of us have seen many players pop in with a huge list of modified files shown to us by the AC strings ingame. "blahblah has a modified blah blah." ect.  sometime in oct last year or so I downloaded a pak file that was suppose to have glow skins, think it was pak 88. or 8. I dont rem. anyways, after i installed it, while using AC,. it would say I have a modified tris.dm2 grenade launcher or something, I didnt pay it much attention, though my grenade launcher looked different. I figured it was cosmetic.  I could log to any server or so I thought until i logged on to one of the tourney servers and it would kick me, I thought wtf so I del the tris.dm2 file in grenade launcher and relogged and a different tris.dm2 file came back said modified and kicked me from tourney. Each time i del a tris.dm2 file another one would pop up saying modified.  I asked for help and was told i prob didnt del all the files. I tried to del all the tris.dm2 files and ended up making a new quake 2 folder cuz after each tris.dm2 I del, another one would pop up and I ended up not being able to find the files it was telling me were modified. I did not install the pak again and i have no problems.

Not exactly. I think FFA servers are set to kick you only for known spiked models. I think the tourney servers are a little stricter on model policies and are set to kick for ANY modified model whether it's known to be a spiked model or just an unknown modified model.

The problem could've been many things, but more than likely you had a whole slew of modified models and AC was running through a list, comparing the files, and then kicking for the first one it spotted. In other words, it didn't compare ALL of the model files and then echo back a complete list of all of the offending files. So you delete one, log back on, and it passes the previous file check for the one you removed, but then triggers for the next one and kicks you before checking any others. Just a theory, but sounds plausible.
