Have you guys verified your "players" folder contains directories only?  As I recall, Q2 gets confused if it finds files in the players folder.  It wants to see directories only.

I have no idea what this means console       

But I will take this advice to my 'PC smart'  buddy (who fixes everything on my PC for me)  And have him take a look for me.

I always seem to run into traps so I am good fodder for trap whores like dukie and pantaloons. I would just never see them in time. I usually use Qtraker as my game search engine and my config loads up R1q2 and anticheat. The other day Qtraker was not responding and I used The All Seeing Eye to launch the game. My config with the eye does not load up R1q2 just good old Vanilla Q2.exe. Low and behold I see the traps bubble a golden fountain of light and of course they are much more visible.

Any idea what it is in r1q2 that negates some of these viedo effects and can you tweek it to get them back.?
