Mine's done that once or twice. I just exit and restart and it's fine.

I can connect with thru the console but the browser is still broken for some reason.

NOW ANOTHER PROBLEM...

I cut and pasted one of the performance enhancing configs that were posted above that would enhance the performance of the game. I pasted them to my Autoexec.cfg file in my new weapons folder . I ran the game and decided that the changes to the graphics were sooooo bad that I would rather go back to the original configuration. So I erased the added lines in my autoexec.cfg file. I guess the settings have been changed in the actual config.cfg file that is located somewhere in game folders. Somewhere. So it won't change back to the stock configuration that it originally had. How would I go about resetting the config file to the stock settings?

These settings get saved to:
C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\Warsow 0.6\basewsw\config.cfg
C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\Warsow 0.6\weapons\config.cfg

On Win 7/Vista - AppData is hidden, so change: Folder Options / View / Hidden files and folders -> Show hidden files, folders and drives.

Just delete these config.cfg files and they should be freshly re-generated by the game.

HTTP downloads are now enabled!

I've just downloaded the same 11mb file @500 kb/s in 5 seconds and last time it took a whole 30 min @6kb/s

Quadz has came through big for us, and we're a step closer to a really awesome server, that will not disappoint, unlike any currently on Warsow.net

So thanks Quadz, you the man! Now if you could just get us that OS update please, we'd really appreciate it!
Then we could switch over to Warsow 1.0 and get rid of all those pesky bugs!

The day WOD-X got itself a new engine to grow on was a long time must for the future! Right now the engine is like a house that has not been furnished yet and needs a repaint and remodeling, but when it is things will never be the same again and we can finally move ahead with long planned concepts that the old engine would have simply prohibited the possibilities of! And not only are completely new things and effects going to be so much more easy and possible, WOD-X is well on it's way to being it's own game now! Anyone will be able to download quickly and easily and be all set to get into what will be the best shooter action ever to come!

Hi,
I've loaded some classic q2 maps that regular quakers will find familiar:
q2-314-demo-x86.exe (demo1 demo2 demo3)
q2-3.20-x86-full.exe (q2dm1-q2dm8)

Some of these maps had to be removed from rotation until we update to Warsow 1.0 because they were crashing the sever:
demo2 q2dm2 q2dm5 q2dm7 q2dm8

So my Norton just removed c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\warsow 0.6\weapons\tempmodules3152\ui_x86.dll

Any idea why?

Probably the same reason as AVG always flags the anticheat.dll - false positives. Basically all virus scanners suck nuts and should be programmed to recognise gaming shit from the off.

I use AVG free addition virus checker and no problems with the warsow game installation so far. Of course AVG is FREE so maybe it is just being lazy.

Yup that file is safe, and appears to be a false positive. UI module code hasn't been altered from Warsow's original. Perhaps update your anti-virus definitions?

The dumbest of the antivirus packages appears to be Sophos, which recently flagged itself as a virus and deleted portions of itself LOL:
