after that....sort of:

ma5, barton, xanax, chiefin, etc.

side note: FlarEZ with a low ping and in practice/trying would EASILY get into the 2nd group. I am sure I missed out a few players, and I'm open-minded to being wrong about a thing or two, call me out if so. There is a good bit of gray area between the last two groups; barton may have the most vast map knowledge out of everyone, chiefin has good dm3 game, etc... Both are capable of winning sets against the largely dm1-only crowd I placed above them. That is close to how I view it, though... I'd particularly value the opinion of the people in the first 2 groups, and the 3rd.

...meaning I agree, kyuss doesn't make top 5 in a game that only has about 10 decent players left.

I did state whose opinion I'd value the most... RIGHT there. Assuming the wins you have snuck in the past were were in the 4th and 5th groups, which is a safe assumption, why on earth would I value your opinion for doing so when I had already stated that I would particularly value the first 3 groups? If I decided to value your opinion after saying that, THEN I would be contradicting myself. That is why I said that I was clueless as to why you would say that....

Additionally, if one thinks 1-2 wins on average to above avg opponent(s) = justification for one's opinion to be valued, then your opinion shouldn't be valued because it doesn't justify that.

all of the more skilled players are capable of pulling off wins on much better opponents... I have seen surprising wins against just about every single top tier player both usa and europe, by moderately skilled above average players that just play a great match

the amount of ACTIVE players that would beat kyuss in a bo5 set is just funny as hell considering how much shit he talks...

Just want to point out that I do value opinions aside from those that I mentioned... But, there are no tournament-ready players in USA after fader/vae IMO. Not everyone after them is like kyuss though, thinking they're something they're not. Actually.. none of them are. All you'll see is a mixture between casual play and improving oneself...

Which makes it pretty easy to see why kyuss plateaued and is still stuck in 2004-2005; he doesn't feel like there's any room for him to improve. . . And ya know what? he couldn't be more right.

And kyuss isn't bad, but I honestly think he likes to troll the hell out of people. And he's pretty good at it.

On the whole, q2 is a for-fun game now. The competitive sector died out a long time ago, and aside from the rare occasional tourneys that still happen, it's a dead game. No sense in making a big deal out of it anymore, just play it and have fun.
