So I had some trouble with my wireless.. the tower that I had been on for a while decided to hate my guts tonight, but thankfully switching to another tower enabled me to *play*!

I've still got about an hour and 15 minutes until midnight here.. and all in all, I think the reunion turned out great, especially when you consider the short notice that was given to everyone. -- Thanks for coming out, everyone! I had a blast!

And, as it turns out, the server logged everything from its console, which I feared it didn't because of a "logging disabled" message when the server starts up. Anyways, when I saw that the log was all there - I jumped at it and have already built the frag stats.  I had to see them!  The frag stats will update once again here at 5 minutes after midnight (Central time), so you can check it out then too!

aw ya no. I finally had some time to stop into the server, got to see diffy again any everything, than the map changed to ztn2dm1 and apparently I didnt have that map anymore, so I had to signoff and DL it and by the time I got back no one was left    Thats just my luck

To make your maps work..

move the custom ones (ztn and so on) from the tourney/maps folder if you have them there, to the baseq2/maps folder. Now it should work.
I had many of my maps in tourney/maps and didn't realize at first that this server don't use "tourney" it's got an own folder called "enter".

Yeah, sorry about that. I believe diffuze had that problem as well, either with that map or another one.

diffuze: Yeah. I've got the Enter.net setup in it's own "enter" folder since I'm using the "tourney" folder for my 'whatever' port on 27910. (Which, I'd originally had my Enter.net rotation list and config setup there, but because of the multiple configs / map rotations, the server would normally be in either Pepp5/FFA mode, or Pepp5/TDM mode, depending on what people wanted to play..  and then I'd decided to give it it's own port (27912) and it's own directory, so I'd be free to make Enter.net-specific changes, that wouldn't affect my other OSP server.) But anyways , I have all the maps on the server sitting under baseq2/maps.. and I believe pepp5 was telling me that I needed the directory renamed to "tourney" so it would work? Not sure how it needs to be done.. but I'll try and figure it out !

And, I don't mean to detract players away from Xquake and / or it's forum (and I'm sorry for you those of you that have already signed up for the Xquake forums (though the server is really good IMO, so check it out if you haven't already)) but.. I've had some forums up for a while now that haven't been used really at all.. and figured I might use them for the Enter.net server. We'll have polls to see what option(s) we'd like enabled or disabled.. what maps we want put in, and what maps we want taken out, and so on.

Boy, I'm on a roll, changing things around, time and time again.

Here's what's up.

o The Enter.net FFA server has been 'merged' back into the "tourney" folder, which is all on port 27910. (Hopefully this will also fix the map download issues. Let me know if it doesn't!)

o The TDM server that was on port 27911 has been completely removed. (Maybe when the mod matures and is less prone to crashing, etc., I'll put it back on.)

o Port 27912 (now titled "redirect") will try to redirect / reconnect you to port 27910, where the Enter.net FFA map rotation and configs now reside.[/list:u]

And maybe you knew, and maybe you didn't, but I've got several, votable, configs running at port 27910.. just type '

vote config' at your console to retrieve the current list of votable configs, and then type 'vote config dm_enter.cfg' for instance, to start a vote for the dm_enter.cfg config, which is the config for Enter.net.

Here's the current list of configs so far:

Deathmatch / Free For All:
dm_afterquake.cfg : Pepp5's config & AfterQuake's map rotation
dm_enter.cfg : Enter.net-style config & map rotation
dm_kansas.cfg : Kansas.net-style config & map rotation
dm_pepp5.cfg : Pepp5's config & map rotation
dm_tikidomain.cfg : Pepp5's config & map rotation based on maps from the TikiDomain map contest(s), which I see needs updating (newer maps posted on the TikiDomain site!)
