I do however have every american episode of dbgt  ::)i thought i would enjoy it forever, but im getting so sick of it, its a shame.

my older bro be getting me into liking the adult swim shit. the adult swim anime shows are better than the toonami and kidswb/fox/etc stuff (in my opinion).

These American company's always edit stuff down, change plots, leave out episodes, and sometimes change characters genders.

Good example of this would be the Sailor Moon anime.  They left out episodes, rearranged scenes, changed the dailog completely, and changed Zoisite into a female character, only because it was an effeminate male character that had an extremely close relationship to another male character, Kunzite.

Then later when the Outer Senshi were introduced they downplayed Michiru and Haruka's relationship.  And we never got the final season.

They're even doing this kind of thing on this years Transformers.  The started it at the third episode I believe, and changed the male character Nitro Convoy into a female named Override. Dumbed it down to the point it's ridiculous and have really bad voice acting. I believe they are also trying to make it a continuation of the previous series, which it's not supposed to be.

Wasn't there one Anime that they edited out all the cigarettes and replaced them with lollipops.

Well ADV released an Uncut Box set of the first and second seasons, although I believe there subs could have been better.    I've downloaded all of it.

Don't have to worry about seeing anymore horrible English versions of Sailor Moon now, all the companies licences have expired and are not being renewed.  I've heard the creator, Naoko Takeuchi, didn't like how it was being treated in other countries, and yes the US isn't the only country to make bad dubs of it.

As far as I know the live action show was the last of Sailor Moon, and we'll never see that brought over, unless they refilm it or give it the Power Rangers treatment.  I know there was way too many panty shots for the US censors to handle, not to metion the girls were all like 15 and 16 at the time.  It was a little cheesy in the fighting sequences, but the story was great.

inuyasha and yu yu hakusho are two shows that play their japanese endings for what i know. 4 kids entertainment (the kind of shows that appear on fox/wb) is know for screwing with anime shows except yu gi oh.

Trust me, the dubbing on Inuyasha is bad, I have not watched Yu Yu Hakusho so I can't comment there.  And yes 4 kids screws everything.  I know a fansub group that is subbing Sonic X and Digimon, beause they believe an uncut true version should be released, and I agree with them.

I agree that American companies usaually do completely screw-up animes.  Toonami was cool years ago when they showed shows like Gundam and Dragon Ball. This was before I had access to the internet and P2P >_>

Shows like Evangelion, Hellsing, Rurouni Kenshin, FLCL, and Big-O are really awesome Thank you Bit torrent >_>; and the subbers. I need more harddrive space(gimme some dvd-r) then I can get more >.<

oh yeah, I love Cartoon Network still toonami and Adult Swim <3 Family Guy/Robot Chicken
