What other FPS game do you play?

don't get me wrong, I am a q2 player.. but, just re-quoting this if anyone is ever curious to actually play a game that is like q2.

quake2world(after some tweaking as of recent) feels more like quake 2 than any other quake... although it's still in beta.

How do I find servers for q2world? I cant dl it till my new puter, no room left on my HD. Still 1.5 wx off

Meaning, when you open q2 world you click "server browser" and you can browse the available servers. tastyspleen has a q2w server in dallas.

I never found the UT games to be anything like the Quake games.  Movement and weapon handling were completely different.  I liked Assault mode though.  Best think Epic contributed to gaming along with Instagib. 

movement makes it a little slower, but there is tricks ya can learn that are kinda cool and it is still an arena fps with cool weapons and good action instead of shit like cod or bf

there is other options for arena shooters though, nexuiz just came out, pre-ordered it and was so excited bout it coming out but then I haven't even played it yet cause i've been doing other shit lol looks great though, faster than UT

if flesh just wants some quake action at any time of day, he can always just play quakelive CA, its pretty damn active last i checked and its all casual so ya can hop in just about any time and get some frags in, and there is ffa for quakelive too it does seem to be easier to hop in and enjoy some casual shit a little easier than q2, where q2 does tdm, 1v1, and instagib better

I was talking about q2w, although I said q2 once when trying to describe the server browser in flesh's language, plus q2 doesn't have a built in server browser ;>

I first played q2 on a p166 8MB, with a Voodoo3. And only had a 2.1GB HDD. Those were the days! I would frequently need to erase mp3s to get the latest custom maps and had to worry about keeping a good spread of maps to play on.

Now it's BF3 ,COD (XBL, but not in a long time), barely any RAGE, and the occasional Crysis 2. Nothing beats Q2's pace and inventiveness in movement. Each game has it's own feel and dynamic. It's nice to have a variety. Soon it's going to be Max Payne 3 and Ghost Recon.
