Quake II preferred TC tools

I've read through some of the forums, but can't find the answer.
Here is the basic question:
What model editor works now, in 2011, to make md2 models from scratch? What editor do you use?
In 2000 I used a combination of True Space and Milkshape. True Space is now free but hangs on Windows7. Milkshape is no longer on PlanetQuake. I found another Milkshape, is this any good?
As a side note, I found QuArk to make maps, and I'm happy with it. Still since I have done nothing for Quake in ten years, there too I'm obviously open for suggestions for an efficient map editor. All we will do is stuff for Quake II, nothing else.

Blender for the models & exporting (2.49 has a md2 exporter, not sure about the 2.5x releases). QModeler for setting up the skins.

Thanks. I found the older version of Blender. But I am not out of the woods yet.
Does anyone have a help file or tutorial for the Quake Modeller programme? I found the file originally at ModDB, yet nothing else with it.

Will someone please muzzle and leash that barking dog? it's projections and delusions and now endless babbling are comically pitiable, just treat it like you would Beaver - that's what it deserves.

Quake 2 needs a public square.
This is not a debate.

If you were attached to reality, you'd realize that.
Quake 2 needs a private bathroom.
