The high temp here today was 85
The surfing Santas do this every year on Christmas day, no matter what the temp is

85!?! Good lord, hahaha! Yeah man, come about 4 or 5pm, it was fucking ROASTING in my house. I was sitting here putting together my new toys Santa brought me with sweat dripping off me. Couldn't bring myself to turn the AC on because I figured by the time it ran long enough to cool it back down to a livable temp in here, it would probably start raining again and cool back down anyway. And sure enough, it did. I swear to god man, this is the weirdest damned Christmas ever. It's been abso-fucking-lutely POURING rain all week long, the pond out back overflowed constantly all week, it been flooding in several parts of the state, and yesterday it finally stopped raining during the day long enough for the temp to hit 75, and of course now... more rain. I went walking through the grass in my front yard yesterday to let the dog out and every step I took felt like walking on a damp sponge.
But on the bright side, I'd rather have warmer weather with lots of rain in the wintertime than colder weather with that much precipitation. No doubt it would equate to ICE. Last thing I need is more ice accumulating on the old oaks out back. I
still
haven't finished cutting up and burning the one huge oak that fell over into the yard from where it froze over LAST winter.

I built a nice fire pit in the back a couple of weeks ago, similiar to this one - https://www.google.com/search?q=fire+pit+pictures&rlz=1C1KMZB_enUS563US564&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=775&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwip-YWp0fnJAhXI5SYKHfLxCp8Q7AkIXQ#imgrc=oSCbcToLTxVOTM%3A
https://www.google.com/search?q=fire+pit+pictures&rlz=1C1KMZB_enUS563US564&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=775&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwip-YWp0fnJAhXI5SYKHfLxCp8Q7AkIXQ#imgrc=oSCbcToLTxVOTM%3A
.
I really don't want to fire it up unless the temps are at least in the 50's or low 60's. The forecast says that we will have 50's after the first of the year.
It seemed like winter came late and lasted longer last year, it may be the same this time.

Cigarettes will kill you. Sometimes in ways you never thought possible.
I've made a solemn vow to give the damn things up. I've got a few handfuls of Natural American Spirit rolling tobacco left in the big tin can of it I always get. Once that's gone, I've got 3 coupons from Natural American Spirit for about 2 or 3 bucks off single pre-rolled packs. Gonna spend those off, and when those 3 packs are smoked up, I'M DONE. Smoking just ain't much fun anymore. I'm gonna be 36 next year, and if I keep going like I'm going, I got a feeling I might not make it past 40. I remember my great-grandfather who suffered from emphysema for years before he finally croaked. Didn't look like too much fun. And I ain't been to a doctor in years, but I suspect I'm starting to show symptoms of it. At night time, you can hear my lungs making popping and cracking sounds when I breathe, drives my old lady crazy. Pretty sure that ain't supposed to sound like that. Turns out, I ain't as bulletproof as I always thought I was. Getting old sucks.

I not going to preach to you, I will just wish you luck once you try.
My Father continued to smoke, even after having half of one lung removed. A common cold would put him in the hospital.
My Father quit about the time my wife was expecting our first child. I tend to think wanting to be around for the grand kids was the motivation he needed to get it done. He waited to late to stop though
He was in the hospital for what would be a common chest cold for us, and while they were giving him one of his breathing treatments, he said he needed a break. They left the room for about 10 minutes and when they came back, he was dead. , He had died from a stroke, the stroke most likely happened because of the extra stress on his system from being congested and not having full lung capacity.
My Father lived to see his first grandchild, but died 2 weeks later.

Woman ate sushi, sweets while riding Wal-Mart cart -

this is nothing new, I see half eaten things all over Walmart. I guess she was just more blatant about it.

I told my family this would happen at Christmas, and today it did.
Today i had a drone flying around my property, it just few past and a few minutes later I saw it pass by again.
I guess it is not a real problem unless I see that sucker hovering around my house, so it is not a problem yet.
I wonder what the consequences would be if I hit that thing with some birdshot
Any thoughts about having someone flying a drone around your house

BOOM! They
USED
to have a drone.
I don't tolerate trespassers. I haven't seen any around here, and I haven't sought legal advice from a lawyer about it, so who knows if shooting one down would make me liable for damages, so I wouldn't recommend anyone else taking this route. But as for me, I don't give a good god damn if it's legal or not. You trespass on my property, it's bad for your health. Your SHIT trespasses on my property, your shit becomes MINE.
These fucking shitheads with these drones have made such a nuisance of themselves flying the things in restricted areas around Washington DC and various airports that I seem to recall them mentioning on the news the other day that all drones were supposed to be somehow registered with the government before the middle of 2016. So now people that just wanna fly them for a fun hobby now have to pay a damn registration fee, which would've been completely needless had a few of the ASSHOLES been able to keep their shit out of restricted areas.

They should make a legislation that will define your jurisdiction over your property that will include airspace above it and on to how high is it
