They aren't the only metal band to come out of Iran. If they're catching shit from the government, they should ask themselves why they're getting attention that others aren't. Or maybe that was the whole idea.

I kinda wonder why death metal hasn't become as widespread amongst the arab world until now. The scales commonly featured in the music they've made in that area of the world fits well into the death metal sound. Oh, I guess there's the whole Islamic thing where they hate anything that resembles western culture or even western counter-culture in this case.

Also, not Iranian, but pretty sure these guys hail from United Arab Emirates, probably the most westernized part of the region. And they kick the living shit out of most bands from the States.

I seem to recall hearing this story, or a similar story about this "YOU people", on the local news. I guess he's a local kid. It's probably old news, unless this carjacking thing is one of his newest capers. Funny how he obviously wanted to make a particular impression on people (Oooo, I'm a scary scary stereotypical ethnic ghetto-style individual!) posting pics like that, and now the impression that most folks have of him is that he's just an enormous dumbass to ridicule and laugh at. Not to mention that getting a heart transplant when you need one is like winning the fucking lottery. Someone else in relatively healthy shape has to die basically INSIDE the hospital where they can remove the organ before tissue damage occurs and maintain it properly. That shit almost NEVER happens. Beating odds that astronomical would be enough to make most people reconsider their life choices. But... not this guy. You go, girl.
