I'm new to Quake 2, but not Quake 3 or 4, so I know that generally, there's a way to make enemy models brighter. Hoping someone could help me with that, also wondering how to make the game overall look better, or have the weapon show itself when it's set to centered. On a final note, sometimes, I'll get inexplicable packet loss, for random amounts of time. I've scouted the forum, somebody else had this problem. Guess I'll gauge on how often it is before I seek assistance.Thank you!
Okay, so to add the additional paks, they get renamed Pak 9. I add all the tweaks together into the same pak?
Update: I can't use R1Q2, due to a very specific problem dealing with Radeon cards and OpenGl. And something involving Windows Vista. :/ Had this same thing happen to Quake 3.
You can still run r1q2 and use the stock ref_gl renderer.(I.e. set vid_ref "gl" instead of vid_ref "r1gl".
But I lose all ability to get higher bit textures/make the game look better?
