i think this is not an american event vae,if it is called koing of the hill not king of the american hill,koth is open for evry q2 player of the world  if it was only for americans so you can never be in the EDL
and even if i signup earlier,it still begins very late 

its run on a server called NORTH AMERICAN DUEL LEAGUE, its run by americans at the best time for them, and the majority of players are american... if you want to play in the event, deal with the time zone difference and sign up earlier

Purri uses dm1 because it's one of his strong maps, not because he thinks it's a great duel map.

Q2 only has one actual "balanced duel map" and that's ztn2dm3. There are a handful of others that are capable of having a competitive duel on, and dm1 is one of them. I like dueling on dm1....most of the time.

I did not hint or suggest what might be Purri's opinion of the map. My whole point was that the map is played and chosen by high level players, in competitive leagues. Clearly if the map wasn't a serious duel map like Vae says, it wouldn't get played in serious competitions. It's just funny how he wants to be a good player. You can't do that if you avoid playing the maps you hate against good players. Then again, he never has made much sense to begin with.

never said dm1 wasnt a serious duel map, you can go look up the koth vod, i said if he wanted a serious match with me he shouldnt have picked dm1, i didnt play seriously at all that match lol i just +backed for 10 minutes, that map is boring shit whether you play it seriously or not, might as well get a laugh out of it

dm1 works for duel, i just cant stand anything about it... top tier competition on dm1 can get quite interesting... but even like 2 average duelers who LOVE dm1, it can be the most boring shit in the world :/

i do think it sucks, but the imbalanced nature of the map creates some interesting play between very good players...

i still think its a piece of shit and hate it, never said it wasnt a serious duel map though this last koth event i specifically said "if you wanted a serious match you shouldnt have called dm1" because i wont play dm1 seriously, i just dont care for the map

and yes... q2dm1 is the most over played map EVER -.- much worse than shit like q3dm6, dm_sacred, dm4, or monsoon... if the map was hardly played i might like it cause i tend to like odd maps SOME times

Just cuz you can't beat people on a map doesn't make it suck.

Also if you want to get better you should just play more games, and stop trying to only play games you will win.  Since you're practicing and trying to improve your game, I'm sure that would help.

I don't think the map is that campy. It just depends on how much risk you're willing to take. Clearly at least in that game, it seemed like you didn't want to take any at all. You had five minutes of control, and you only used it defensively. You hardly left the mh room, and all you really did was push me out of there with chain. I had to rush in mh room and kill you to finally take control. When you were 200/100, I don't remember you going for rail even once. That's safe play against a weak opponent.

I think you tried more than you're willing to admit, mainly because I think that you don't want to lose to me, and maybe because we were playing on dm1. Your ego probably couldn't handle it, though I'm sure you'd say that you lost because of the map if I won.

if you woulda called ztn2dm3 or q2rdm2 or some other good map.... you woulda lost much harder and you know it... hence why you called dm1
