Currently I believe the silentgamer servers have adopted the same hashes we're using on tastyspleen, for the tourney.

Mainly this locks down player, weapon, and item models, and some key sounds like footsteps and railgun hum.

There will probably be some further tweaks (for example, another thread mentioning a problem with the crakhor model hash.)

I'd recommend connecting to the various servers to test them out with your setup.  Servers are listed here:

I checked all the silent gamer servers last night (ping 12 on the NJ one, although that won't help me) and I didn't show any issues. A few months ago I had to remove a few step wavs to end the issues on tastyspleen. I have a few paks, brightskins I think, crosshairs, and something with offending step wav files,  and I show the same clean status on tastyspleen and silent gamers.

its to my understanding that slugs got A LOT better recently, and him from your day vs him from today isnt really a fair comparison... but i cant say for sure focus and slugs are pretty good imo, and youd be rusty as hell... pretty sure focus and slugs will get 2nd and 3rd places with naym taking first

I had to go all the way back to 2007 to find a slugs win    would have to get really lucky playing a drunk slugs to win now.

Some things I knew/did back then strat wise surprised me,  my head game was so much better.

aim and jumps are better now though,  just need to get strat back.


Why am I so sidetracked?   Yeah,  slugs has gotten tons and tons better.

I saw slugs v. naymlis. Looks like the same old slugs to me. but I guess everyone has their own opinions, right? :>

In 2007 there were also 20 players that were not only better than slugs, but also consistently played. I know you were around then too reflex so you can relate.....but seemingly some of this hype is due to there being 20x less decent players around.. kind of makes it opportune for people like slugs to get in the spotlight, no? Just my opinion, don't hate me for it, i love you all.

i wil agree with you that his style isnt exactly the best... against the right players who play smart he cant do a damn thing because he is so agressive and relies pretty much entirely on just rolling over the opponent... its a style that either works or it doesnt, it cant be 100% consistant like a player like ah!'s style can be where he plays slow and smart....

but if he has improved it has been the other aspects of his play, such as prediction, decision making, and timing

and youve seen a handful of demos of him recently, ive seen him play the servers a few matches a day... im not saying slugs is the best, im saying hes definately not as bad as you try to portray him to be though... he has an agressive style, it makes for a very entertaining match to watch but its very risky with all his rocket jumps and mindless rushes... it either works out, or it doesnt, thats why he has managed to beat naym a couple times, but he also still loses to naym by >10 frags a lot

pretty sure his risky style had nothing to do with him winning those games.. not to take anything away from him (im lying that's exactly what i'm doing) but i loss the games, he didn't win em

hmm, the seeding isn't too bad. Reaper it's me and you like old times buddy. I'm gonna have to practice up so you don't own me. And btw man, I don't think you should be seeded at 26 lol. I see several people below you that you're better than I'm sure.

everkill is definitely mis-seeded. Gaud may be as well, I'm not as familiar with him though.
