in ware2.. it has this big open room with the railgun in the middle.. you just grab the chain gun and spray bullets into everything.. Newer players are absent minded and just run for the railgun.. and while they're being chained they keep going for it thinking in thier mind that if they just get to it.. they might be able to get off a shot and kill me..unfortunately that doesn't work

This is the War Room."Quote from: johnny on October 12, 2005, 09:15:47 AMIf I have only a few minutes to play, then the map I have requested will not even come into play until I have left the server; I think it's pretty rude to impose my map on a server that I'm not even on.Just to point out one of mymap's features, in case it wasn't widely known - it's OK to request a map even if you think you might have to leave the server before it's played, because if you leave before your map is played, mymap deletes your request from the queue. It looks like this: def handle_player_disconnect(playername, client_number, ip) cur_maprot.remove_by_key ip endRegards,

The current longer timelimit is an attempt to balance allowing some playfulness with the settings vs. those who prefer the standard vanilla settings.

I know that there are those amongst us who think that ANY use of IA, QUAD, BFG or anything "Noobish" like that is a DREADFUL SIN against their sacred quake "professionalism". I think that those types are just as corrosive to fun as those who want EVERY map to be IA. We need a balance. It's a damned game afterall - Remember the fun?
