great idea guys

i love it

but what if the person nominated doesnt have a mic and/or vent?

have the feeling if this started a bunch of idiots would nominate me EVENTUALLY just so they could flame me in irc the whole time -.- BUT i dont have a mic, so i would have to turn it down

the main idea im tryin to get at here, is how is it gonna be carried out??

another problem im seeing is that if you want to pick the people that never frequent irc or the forums, how are you supposed to schedual interviews o.o

its a great idea, i really think it has potential, but it needs some deeper thought thrown into it before it has a chance of working

Well in the case of not having a mic we could always do a written questions and use ms sam. It would be done in an editorial fashion to spotlight the player. It'll be carried out the normal way on mumble, vent, ts, or vent. Getting a hold of players that are not on irc or the forums is a bit of a issue, but easily solved by going to them on the server and talking. I would think.

There is a bit of thought needed to be put into the idea, I agree. Thankfully I think we are still in the idea stage so we can get it all put together.

I never released it because I finished it the day before 3drealms was closed. I'm still uneasy about releasing it.

Again, if the potential interviewee doesn't have/want to come on air himself, we can ask questions, and just broadcast an editorial-style biographical. Change the format a little bit, and there's no need for any text-to-speech.

maybe coming up with a solid list of requirements for nominees would be a good first step

i vote for loves quake and has never hacked to be on the top of the list
