I think it would be a wise decision to revise the anticheat on the tasetypleen's servers (cvars and hashes) I've noticed alot of players on the DM server with modified .pac files I'm sure alot of you know that you can put just about anything in them. Also I've noticed while in "spectator" mode some strange commands being sent to the console. How to setup anticheat-cvars How to setup anticheat-hashesJust my 2 cents
as they are currently set up, most of the tdm and ffa servers on TS allow certain models to be non-stock including weapon models, as long as they don't show up as known spiked models.with the settings as they are in the server configs, it will report any files that aren't the same as the hashes as "bad" even though they could just be custom, and it won't do anything further beyond logging them.there is an option to kick players who's files don't show up stock (or a player with X number of bad files) but this would only apply to anticheat users (the forced ones as well as those that choose to) and as such seems like an imposition on people who are already doing more than others to prove that they are legit.I force all useful models and sounds to be stock on my itdm servers, but that's because they make a huge difference in team/1v1 instagib where in regular DM you won't see as much of an advantage from certain bad files. (rg hum, footsteps etc)it's kinda a trade-off tho, as I see less server traffic the tighter I make the restrictions.
The majority of players on TS don't even use anticheat.dll to begin with .
