DAmm im good in railz with 350/400 of ping laggy map and my quake crashing!!!

Well... slayer is right about one thing, it is easy for some to play on a higher ping and it's not 'everything' like focalor said. But although slayer is somewhat correct, it's not from the reasons he was suggesting, lol.... and slayer, saying that you don't spam with GL? uhhhh the best players in the world spam with GL man haha. Spam serves it's purpose in a serious match.....

Anyway... I played on dial-up, semi-competitively, up until 2006. I know what it's like to play on any ping from 30-380, competitively. I even played in euro tourney matches as dial-up in 4v4 (hence 380 ping). I wasn't an extremely good player, but I could always hold my own and had most of the NA tdm scene thinking that I cheat, which fueled my ego nicely.

But yeah, to be honest I can't give a decent explanation other than prediction aim and near-instantaneous aim are 2 different skills. I'm better at the first one probably.. Here are some lame demos vs. some decent players you may know, me pinging 200-300.

I forget if they're even any good, I used to suck on dial-up(considering q2's evolving meta-game opposed to modemers who used to own back in the day) to be honest but if ya'll are interested in how to own(be gay) on high ping I'd check it out.

Nice rl work with that ping. You could of fooled me otherwise (for the most part), not being hpb in those demos.

El Champ IS MR TUROKS. I was chatting a little bit with him today on the railz server. He mentioned that he's no longer on a wireless connected and his shot delay seems even longer with wired internet.

90% of all grenade kills, no matter the mod, is because your opponent walked into it. That's what GL is.... The lengthened airtime of the grenade until it hits you opposed to other weapons is hardly comparable to high ping skills.

Me and him used to pick at each other a year or two ago back when I was new around here. At the time, I didn't really know how to spot a real aimbotter too well. I accused him of cheating, and he wasn't. I can't remember if he was using anticheat back then, probably so, but I know that he definitely uses it now. I've gotten a hell of a lot better at railing since then, and quit all the hackusations, even won a few rounds against him, so I think we've both kinda earned back each others respect in a way now. I dunno, we seem cool I guess.

Maybe you did or said something to piss him off? I know both of us (as well as many other folks) hate it when we're trying to have a nice game of FFA rails and some douchebag has to join up and inevitably start spamming nades all over the place. I think it's usually because they don't stand a chance and they know it, so they just do what they can to piss us off and make us leave. It usually works too. Fuck that nade lobbing gayness, goto vanilla assholes.

Ah, I see. I thought he read what I said because he and La Champ double teamed against me on quite a few maps on railz. I guess they were just dicking around. It was kind of funny.

Nah, I think he's got a buddy or a room mate or something who's usually on whenever he is. I haven't really noticed them teaming on anyone before, that's pretty lame if that's true... unless you were spamming nades... then you deserved it.

Usually I only play nades-only if everyone else is. It's kinda fun and almost makes me wish that there was a nade-only ffa server, but I'm sure it would get old fast.

There was a 1v1 hand grenade tourney about a year ago I think. I didn't sign up for it, but a fairly decent number of other folks did. Then there was supposed to be a 2nd hand grenade tourney, and I signed up for that one since the first one seemed to run so good. But for some reason it was all called off a day or two before it was supposed to go down. I kinda wish we could get another one together. It was a one evening event. Players were pitted 1v1 at random in 2 brackets I think. Twas nice having it all in one night so you wouldn't have to wait and wait to schedule matches and drag it out forever like a lot of tourneys these days seem to do.

I didn't make either of those nade only tourneys..... would have been fun. I've never even played a 1v1 all nades except with 5antana. Although I did go nades only on ReaListiC (in 1v1 rails, dm1) and beat him like 18-16 or something...10 ping OUCHHHH.

when I had 200 - 400 Pings back in my 56k days I used to have to predict my railz.  and it was usually them running into my shot with the railz.
