Hello, I've never played before and it looked fun so I thought I'd give it a shot. I tried connecting to the Instagib TDM server, and it will load the map for about 1 second then kick me with the message "kicked for modified players/male/w_blaster.md2. We no longer allow bad AC file checks here"

I'm not sure if I installed everything correctly or not, but any help getting this working would be appreciated. All I have done is download and extract the q2kicker.zip file...is there something else I need to do? Thanks in advance.

oh that was you i kept seeing get kicked

thats irtdm, dervish is the admin for that server and he has really strict file checks, he can point you towards a pak file that contains default models you can just put into your /quake2/tourney folder

I keep getting kicked from all Tastyspleen servers... I was looking forward to coming back to Q2.... been gone since gamespy arcarde days lol.

In more detail, I am able to connect, DL all necessary stuff for the respective servers, however, upon entry I am kicked :\

Please assist.

Okay, call me a newb, (This is QuickToDie) but exactly how do you 'pm console' if you can't connect?

I've played the ts servers from home a lot, follow the rules, etc.
But I cannot connect to railz, or almost all, save mutant.
