I guess it's sorta like those people that can look at a canvas splattered with what appears to be randomly tossed paint and think "brilliant!". I'm always assuming some people get a hard on by being "different", so anything that is "different", whether it really appeals to them, in a traditional sense, or not, will catch their eye. And I guess I don't even really mean "different", I mainly mean "unlikely to be appreciated by the mainstream". They go against the grain, for a reason that I don't really identify with.
