There are some BIG maps on the lithrailz server that may be usefull for this event, don't remember the names though. I'll check some out.

I've had a super busy week at work, but I'm still lookin towards running IR500 #4 in the very near future.
I checked out some possible maps, but I could use more suggestions in this area, and for the date of the event.

I'd prefer to shy away from using a map we've done before, but after the first 5 or so of these events I'll probably reconsider ones from the past. Don't worry, we'll see dm8 again one day.


The event will be open to anyone who isn't banned on IRTDM, and AC file checks will be in place, but we won't be kicking for them to allow a greater spectrum of players and model usage (cyborgs and such always tend to give that 1 bad file). With the number of people on the server that we normally get for this, loud railgun hums and steelsteps won't help worth a darn.

I'll be removing the forced skins (with the exception of the kick for the null model from otdm) so if you don't want a whole slew of lemmings and cows in your face for 45+ minutes, I suggest you rename the model folders for them and turn off model/skin downloads before the event.

lol get a big map with TONS of spawns, and a lot of height variations and angles to play pretty boring when you get just a bunch of closed off rooms so people can sit in the corner of one room and just keep shooting the same spawn pad...

the last map wasnt too bad was pretty fun, still some spawn camping done by people like vigi... but it was better than dm8 i imagine

For one, you can't take a full convo and just edit it to 15-20 lines like you did and think that eveyrone will understand what was being said.. takin out of context.  THat was a plain and simple edit to what vigi had said to make it sound like he said it.  I could come in here and just type names and put a : after them and make up a whole fucking conversation you moron.  You just want your invuln time like a newb cause you can't handle getting raped like a real bitch. Invuln time just makes it easier for the people who just simply get killed all the time because it allows them a free shot or 2, depending on the time, to get off and do damage before they can be killed. The question i have for  is, if Fosters is Austrailian for beer, is Alpha Australian for queer? cause you have to be the biggest one lurking on these forums.  We could always get chief in here and see what he has to say about your lil edit as well.

I'm just curious if anyone else here gets kind of huge drops in fps when too many people play in ir500. I quit 1/5's through the last ir500 that was on vendm4. The fps drop was just too annoying to deal with. The last ir500 I ended up camping in the water, mainly so I could get a playable fps.

didnt have fps drops that were noticable, my computers a beast though

what happened to most people is things stopped being rendered lol most people just didnt get gibs...

i got gibs.. but no rail trails FAIL lol hard to shoot like that

probably why you could do certain things like picmip shit and turn off all dynamic lighting and stuff, just to get less frame drops in ir500
