Adding new map to Q2 Server

If it is a map that you found and not made yourself, then chances are that it's already available on the mutant server via mymap.

If it is a new one, please follow the instructions on the above thread to upload it so that the Quadz can add it in, but also post the filename or a link to it here. I'd be happy to add it to the list of maps to review on the tastycast!

It's themed as the original NES Super Mario. Thought it funny. Would love to see this in the mymap rotation.

But it is a very cool find. If I remember correctly it is only playable as a gloom map (no items, only 1 spawn, and too many inaccessible areas)

Ouch tested it out it is pretty weak in normal DM mode. I don't know much about Gloom. You'd think the creator would make it normal DM too. None of the spawns or teloports work, and with only the blaster... ~yawn~ Love sliding down the flagpole, lol.. I wish the pipes worked...

Anyone so inclined is welcome to make a .override file for it.

For those not familiar with overrides, they are a server-side file which can modify, add, or replace the entity spawns in a map.  Thus you can add or remove spawn points, teleporters, weapons, ammo, health, armor, powerups, ...

The great thing about .overrides, since the .bsp file is not modified and they are purely server-side files, no download is required on behalf of the players.

That would be awesome. I think that there are lots of people interested, but too embarrassed to ask. Well I may be the only one too embarrassed to ask.. but still, a good idea!
