I must agree with you, but, however, we have WirePlay server, where the gods of jumpmod play. Its proud to get on top15, but if you get higher, you go for 1st place. Getting it, may take those 3-5 days , and you still aren't sure, if you get it

Of course , tastyspleen jumpmod server increased a lot during few years. Now you cant come , close your eyes, and make 1st place easily

You missed the point. It doesn't matter how long "overtime" lasts, it will distract the concentration anyway.

As you know, if more people agree to have such feature , maybe it's ok then. Of course , i always go with this moto: its better 1 real jumper on server than 10 random nubs.
But if i were close to tastyspleen jumpmod server, i wouldn't say that because the difference of skill in wp server and ts is just enormous. I always go to ts jm server with a mood "it's better not to try to do your best".

Just make a vote , if "overtime" feature is necessary for people or not

I think it's bs to shoot at the end of a jumpmap ^^ You go to jumpserver to jump, not to play tdm. And like Apkis said, it got nothing to do with skilllevel at tdm.

Overtime FFA was turned on a month or two ago because some tastyspleen jumpmod players requested it.

I don't mind turning it back off if it's no longer wanted.

Anyone who wants to can make a forum poll. (Or people can just post their opinion in this thread... poll results can be skewed by people voting who don't actually play jumpmod.)

Wait, so wireplay has a perfectly good jump server, without the EEEVIL overtime shooting, where you ping better anyway, and where your 'gods' play?

Why the hell should TS change one of the only active NA jump servers to suit your wants, when it was changed in the first place to accomodate the wants of the NA players who always use it?

We are discussing about TS server. Wireplay jump server is the perfect example , how the jump server should look like. I am not taking any step to TS jumpmod server for years, i am just giving my , as a jumper, opinion. Console and I clearly gave an idea, how to solve this. Democracy poll would help a lot here.

Actually nobody likes it except for you, who never even plays jump! You shouldn't even join this discussion lol. (Yes I do play jump once in a while). You noticed an american player started the thread right? Your last post is directed only to apkis, and that's not even the point. The point is whether there should be FIGHT on ts or not. Apkis thinks it sucks, and many others think that too. Like it matters if he has high ping or low ping or where he is from...

It seems to me that he has a readily available alternative that he obviously likes much more (the sacred wireplay), yet he's here trying to change this one when others who actually use it much more want it the way it is.

I don't buy the "you have to jump to post here" crap, and since his only justification for posting here is that he thinks he's some sort of jump officianado and that all jump servers should conform to his idea of what they should be, I don't really feel all that bad about expressing my opinion when it doesn't impose my beliefs on others and his does.

I don't like ra2 style games at all, so the last man standing thing could go and I wouldnt give a shit.
I literally cannot even look at those shitty looking jump maps for more than about 30 seconds without wanting to vomit so changes to jumpmod wont affect me at all.

What does affect me is how people have recently been abusing the power that comes with being a very vocal minority (in a community run by people with limitted time to listen to complaints) much more often on TS, to ride roughshod over the rest of us and get things changed to the way they want them regardless of the overall public opinion or how those changes will impose restrictions on the rest of us that they may not necessarily have to endure.

I'd like to see some accountability when we make changes to stuff around here, and when in 2 months all the NA guys are wondering why they cant do the fight thing anymore, APKIS here will be off playing at wireplay and they'll be on the hook for trying to get it re-implemented.

How would the euros react if I went over there as a complete unknown and told you how you should make major changes to your most active TDM servers that I don't even bother to play on, when the exact opposite changes were just implemented due to requests from the euro tdm community and I have 3 NA servers where I can play my own idea of what TDM is?

Instead of just making a forum poll that will be corrupted and have 0 accountability, make a poll where people have to make a post and say "YES" or "NO" by posting in the thread instead of clicking a radio button, and we'll see just how many people really think it sucks and who they are.

Otherwise, this is all just stupid blathering on about nothing, and I'll be tempted to trounce on mr. entitlement complex over there till he goes back to wireplay.

Jump server - for jumping , that's what yogurt wanted to say in his first post. I just go with him and nothing else.

By the way , with my jump cfg it would be really headache to shoot someone.

As Arch said, come to JumpMod closely, then think twice before posting. I am not the only one who use special cfg only FOR JUMPING.

You can have even a 10 min duel after every jump map. I wouldn't mind. It still would look as stupid as that " last man hiding" feature.

Was worth giving it a shot though and thanks for adding it, but im sure its ran its course now, theres only about 2/3 people who like it now

And Whirlish, btw, when i play FFS, i only play on vanilla and i always own it on 200 ping, PWN.
