I just don't understand how someone can bag on granny for his walls, but fight for zeb/vapid to be unbanned over a bot....I mean no hack is less bad than the next, but damn

To differentiate between the two cases of banning:

In Granny's case, there is no evidence of him ever having the wallhax activated during a match.
They were loaded into memory, and he denied it, and that was bad enough to get him bant for a long while, even though they may have been loaded into memory by mistake (which I personally doubt).

In the case of these two douchebags, they were repeatedly and intentionally using an aimbot that they tailored to look like anticheat, and doing so under other people's names in addition to their own, and they tried to deny it while still being stupid enough to scream "I'll hax joo!" at anyone who questions their ridiculous story about the whole episode, which was an attempt (made right after they got bant) to smear R1CH and discredit him in order to save their own pitiful asses from being ostracized from the NA q2 scene.

All hacks being equal, the person who has more 'intent to hack' or is a repeat offender should be the person who gets the higher grade of punishment. (like a permanent ban)

basically I just play Q2 and try to give everyone enough credit to the point where I don't think anyone cheats, but then stuff like those 2 doing what they did makes me wonder even further--though if you hack and try to make a name for yourself with the hack (combi) then you will eventually get caught, all the glory you wanted actually will be your downfall when people look at you closer

These 2 idiots "Vapid and Zeb0r" appeared on the CTF scene back around 99-2000 area. I remember Vapid being a very average player at best. He somehow made my clan, we played a few matches and got our asses handed to us and he wasn't very much help. So he disappeared for about a 4-5 month period and came back and was playing like he was superman on steroids. Rumors of him cheating went thru out the community. He finally got caught by the admins that were running the erols server and was caught by OGL admins as well "mutiple times". Not only cheating but ringing for other teams using one of their clanmates names. This bullshit went on and on and on. When someone would call them out on it on irc, they would go to their script kiddie basket and DDOS someone off irc....wow talent! I ask myself why would they still hack at Quake2 for, espically for Ra2 mod that all friggin  anyway.

Another funny thing happened recently as well, playing one of the better CTF'ers "h0ps" Vapid was using his cheats while playing him, WORM from acme's servers caught him and let h0ps know what excatly he was using. Funny part is, he lost to h0ps. Such a well known hacker lost to someone not using hacks, how bad are you? I mean really? So when h0ps told Vapid that WORM caught him using hacks against him and basically embarrased the hell out of him, what does Vapid do, he asks his euro hacker buddies to hack the wormlair.com forums. Nice job btw vapid gotta basically hire someone to do your dirty work.....lol

Krez seriously, you seem like you are a pretty cool guy when you are on the servers. Disassociate yourself from them, because you will get the lable of hacker as well, do i think its right that you get that lable NO. These idiots are the 2 kids that sat alone in the lunch room at school hoping the hot chick a table away would look at them. Then they would discuss with each other what the look meant. They both can go suck on a cars tailpipes for all i care.
