ive used the office max pads and the expensive cloth pads and they really do make a difference, if you have the money to spend on the good pads i suggest you to pick one up.. don't listen to recycled

Hey hey....I didn't say that was my opinion - just some data to look at. Just trying to be objective. I even think that at the end they say the study didn't include serious gamers, whose reaction time and precision is measured in milliseconds.

I use a basic microsoft optical wheel mouse, and it's great, i used to always get the mx500, which i find a bit nicer, but i broke three (guess they can't handle q2).  really i think the mousepad is most important, you get those thin cloth mousepads, that look ever so slighty furry, that makes a world of difference.  it seems an even bigger difference than switching up mice. 

i'm not sure the name of those mousepads but i tried them all, and the game was perfectly smooth with that cloth mousepad, those everglides, and the likes didn't work at all, would of rather used my table.
