It would be helpful to provide your autoexec.cfg file, also make sure that it's located in the \baseq2 folder.

It's in my baseq2 folder, I'm also using the q2kicker client. Its just everytime I do the command *goto somewhere* my config unexecs. Even when I have a autoexec.

For extra measures, and to prevent this from ever happening again, copy your autoexec and paste it in each of the mods you play folders.  I have my autoexec in my baseq2 folder along with the arena/tourney/opentdm/osp/bball/qpong/rails/jump/expertctf/ctf folders, that way I can also edit my config to each of the mods I play to better suit my play style to each mod with their different binds/features etc.  In arena(or RA2) in my autoexec in that folder I use for example:

bind mwheelup say_team "enemy LOW --[ $$loc_there ]-- CHAIN!"
bind mwheeldown say_team "enemy RAILED 80/20 --[ $$loc_there !!]--"

Whereas in my CTF autoexec, those two keys are bound to do completely different things:

bind mwheelup "use grapple"
bind mwheeldown say_team "TECH SWAP (for a sec)?? <%t>"

Just put your autoexec in each mods folder in your quake2 dir.  Problem solved.

does anyone else not see how aiming at the floor is going to help you control anything but the floor?

This doesn't make sense to me from an accusational standpoint either, though.

On the contrary, a wallhack should give someone time to aim above the ramp where the player is about to appear, not aim into the floor, right?

I'm happy enough to ban him again if he's hacking, but frankly what's in the demo seems the opposite of how someone would aim if they were trying to use a wallhack advantageously.

I watched the marics_insta2 demo with a wallhack enabled, and the server-side visibility check is working pretty well overall. A key point for me is I'm not seeing any flinches from douche-magic the moment the player model is put into the scene and would suddenly become visible via a wallhack.

Seems to me he's quite often running toward a ramp before the opponent becomes visible with a wallhack, and when the opponent suddenly does become visible to wallhacks, i'm not seeing douche-magic adjust to that new information.

Of course, as the saying goes, just 'cause you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you!

But I'm just not seeing it...

1. you mean that game where i was toying with you since last time we played you lost by like 20 and ragequit... i literally sat in MH room for 3 minutes just doing jumps and you were too scared to push in and frag me... admittedly my aim was bad that match but more than good enough for the likes of you... railers that out class you are still around, and most of the people who posted in the last couple of pages fall into that category, don't try to act superior plus, i don't bother playing railz, haven't for a long time, I have been on the tourney and ffa servers plenty in the past few weeks player people better than you, so your scared comment makes no sense

2. You post demos to stroke your ego, not to prove you are legit... most of the demos posted don't even have info other than "evidence of my greatness" or "more rape"

3. the railz maps are all super simple... give any decent player 5 minutes on a map, and they will know it inside and out also, i am a tourney player and i know a hell of a lot more than just dm1

4. telling ya, it would help you out if you just learned to shut the fuck up

But you do realize I went SG only that game right? I mean I clown you with nades enough... I beat you RL only enough... I beat you hyper only, I beat you SSG only, I think I did MG only once... Figured I would try just SG only and it didn't work GG, quit trying to prove something and just play

It gets kind of boring to just pound you into the ground over and over, finally found a way to make one game interesting lol
