/dev/random / Long shot but... Do any of us old farts play minecraft at all?

So I've started this little passion project. Ive played minecraft since it first came out and have ever since, update after update im sucked into finding all the new stuff and building beautiful houses. So recently my bf encouraged me to just start a server and see if I can get it populated. Make it a little side hustle to add to our many others. So its live and what not, constantly building and adding to the spawn and looking for ppl to start playing.  So its a long shot i know but I'm sharing it everywhere so you are unfortunately victims to my attention seeking one more time ;p

Registration / Rocket Arena 2 Draft - Signups Closed, BRACKETS POSTED!

Okay, here is how it's going to work. After lots of thought and time and talking to many people. It has come to my attention that a draft will be the best way to start and stimulate this game mod a little more. Starting off small and work out way up to a potential ladder or league what have you. For right now and the player base we have, which on some nights seems to be quite a lot, isn't enough.


So if you want to play, sign up individually here, stating your in game name or simply saying I'm in! After about a week and a half of signups and spreading the word, teams will be picked, with the help of people who know the skill and player base well. (or we could do random picking if that something you people would like to try.) If not picked at random teams will be made as fair as possible so that all players have a fun and fair experience. Know that your participation will only help us get to 4v4's and so on until better things! **Let it be known that signups are going to be completely unbiased. EVERYONE can sign up, as long as the rules are followed and you behave yourselves all will be good.**

Also note that if you haven't played Ra2 in a while or at all even, that every Tuesday and Saturday night, and if you ask on IRC most nights some games will get going. But for certain games Tuesdays and Saturday nights @ 11:30PM EST games get pretty big and crazy, so join in, learn the mod, or simply brush up on your skills!

Map Pool: ra2map1, 9, 7, 20, 23, 24, 26, 27, daknye
Each team will be able to pick their map and if a tie breaker is required teams have one chance to agree upon a map, if even one person disagrees with the pick, the ref at the time is to randomly pick a map for them to play. (using a randomizer so that no one can complain of favoritism)

Discussion / Ra2 League/Draft/Tourney

Quite the topic subject I know, but bare with me: (movie this to its own topic to dis-associate with several individuals)

After a few discussions, I can say something is definitely in the very beginning of the (what I'd like to call), The  'Planning Stages.'

If we can get a 10v10+ on a Tuesday night, there is no reason we can't have something more exciting in the works.

As of this moment, I'm talking to a few people, and asking their opinions on a potential 3v3 event/ladder/draft/tourney, whatever you wanna call it.

If you think you would be interested in such things, say it here, if you don't want to contribute in the confines of the forum troll nation, just message me it!

Like I stated it's in the planning stage, it will all be done very organized, cleanly and as fair as possible, to every player. And as not to disrupt the Ra2 scene which is the best I've seen it in years. I  may be 'new school' to the RA2 scene, but I get what people want.


At this point I am just looking for input, idea's from reputable members of the RA2 scene to help get this thing off the ground and into some real material!

I think it's well over due. It's no surprise that some people dislike me and I may be rude to some. Mind you I wont be rude  to you unless you annoy me beyond relief or you are intentionally mean. I mean I suppose alot of dumb drama has followed me around this community. At this very moment in time, i'll give people a hard timem all in fun though.. But there isnt anyone i 'hate' i dislike certain people, and i may talk a little shit here and there. but at the end of the day we all have a common interest in the game. I wont talk shit unless you intiate it. if i call you a retard over the internet dont take it and run rampid with it, it happens. Im not holding grudges, and most times i try to get along with most everyone in the community. Theres a select people that i dislike and whatrver, it happens. I just think old shit needs to be let go and we just need to find a comon ground and get some good ass games going. Less shit talk, more playing and enjoying the game the way is supposed to me

Quake / Windows 8 Vs. R1q2

Yes, I know windows 8 herp derp. but i just got a new pc and I am aware that anticheat is not usable with the os. But r1q2 does nothing but crash, even in compatibility mode. aprq2 works fine enough. But i really prefer r1q2.


BASICALLY! before i finally convince myself to downgrade for the time being, does anyone have r1q2 working on windows 8, smoothly?

Din0 has a minecraft server up, I don't think I have posted about this yet on here. It used to be up and then no one played. But I know a few people around here actually play the game so if anyone wants to come play the server ip is tsminecraft.no-ip.org

tastyspleen.net / Can't Connect to ETG

So I haven't been able to connect to ETG for I think three days now. I can connect to other servers no problem. It will connect me and then immediately disconnect me and and reconnect till i get this error...

Now the etg site is completely broken to me the picture on the site don't load and any email i try i get a failed email message back. And I have tried multiple clients and fresh installs and what not...

soooo http://egl.quakedev.com got taken down, and im just now realizing this. And i kinda want the client to play through some demos as well as play with on occasion. Does anyone have the egl-v0.3.1-r1.exe ? that they could upload here or on the site somewhere? I'd really appreciate it!

Trouble Shooting / My anticheat wont work. HELP!

Okay playing in NADL and i have been reffing for them. Yesterday I was reffing and my anticheat was running just fine.


this was while reffing a match. Just yesterday night.


Now when i connect to a server im getting this message.

and here is a screen shot of my q2 folder. anticheat.dll IS in there. I even went as far as deleting it and re-downloading it.



PLEASE HELP! I don't wanna drop out of nadl for something as stupid as this. Esp when it was working just fine yesterday!
