Who would own a PC without an existing operating system?

I would, in fact I prefer it that way.  If they sold computers in major stores without OS's preinstalled I'd love it, but I have no problem just putting my own system together.

I had a chance to use Vista at my brothers house as I was helping with some laptops.  Had to back up some things to another computer so I could restore the OS because it got hosed, well I found simple home networking to be a major pain in the ass with Vista.  I used a thumb drive to move all the files over to the other computer, but when I was done I was going to use a network share to move the files back.  Couldn't get the computer to connect to the share no matter what options.  Finally had to say screw it and used some folder they have called the "Public" folder, which is stupid, I should be able to share any folder I wish.  Hopefully Windows 7 will not have these home networking issues, though I'll never use it unless helping someone else with their computer.

As a side note to some other post in this topic, I do use Linux, but I am not one to say "OMG IT BETTER DAN WINDOZE ALL SHOULD USE ITZ".  I recommend people use what works for them.  For people wanting an alternative and don't need to run any Windows specific software, I usually recommend Linux Mint.  I think it provides a nice smooth transition and comes setup with all media codecs preinstalled, and you don't have to hunt around for drivers.

Jezabelle Bond has some sexy looking flame wristbands... but Megan Fox just looks like something that grew out of Billy Bob Thornton's jerk-off sock.

She attended middle and high school in the town I live in.  I'm sure that is where she picked that up at, lot of girls around here have tattoos they just shouldn't.

Don't use AprQ2, use R1Q2, it's better.

I would, but I can never seem to get it to work.  It compiles just fine, but I can never get the client to run.  I'm probably just doing something wrong, but I use what I can get to work.

I am however using r1gl with it

  took my time getting things tweaked the way I wanted it, but now I think I'm ready to start playing again.  I'm using Aprq2 from Jay Dolan's site with the r1gl renderer running at 1440x900, the hi-res texture pak, and a pak I threw together using pics and sounds from Focalor's site.  Runs great in single player, now heading off to the servers for some FFA 

PakScape runs very well under Wine btw.

Then if they can't handle it, why go on? Why not understand you can 'get over it'... These people, I don't like.

Because they want to get over it, they want so much to put it behind them and get on with things, that's why they go on.  But it's always there, everytime they close their eyes, the nightmares, the flashbacks, the voices.  They try to come up with ways to cope with it, many of which are harmful to themselves. 

It's not something you'd understand, not with such a closed mind as you have.

Many people can balance themselves out, their imbalances aren't as great as others.  Still many others require medications to do so.

I have a few imbalances myself that I've come to realise, after years of denial.  Never seen a psychologist or been diagnosed, I just know what's going on in my head.  I have a slight depression that gets triggered by certain things, as well as some anger issues, which is also an imbalance, but I've gotten used to it, I've learned to balance myself out.

I agree with you for the most part, anything done right and in moderation is better than over doing it and messing yourself up completely.  Congrats on all the stuff you've accomplished in your life.

I don't think you have a good grasp on what depression and mental disorders like it really are though, they are not excuses for people who are weak minded, they are actual chemical imbalances in the brain.  It has nothing to do with being weak or strong minded, even people who are very mentally strong can be affected by it.  The human mind is very fragile, and things that happen in our past while we are very young can break it for the rest of our lives.  Some people rise above it and live normal lives, but others can't.  It's not they choose to continue to reflect on it, it's just stuck in their mind and haunts them every minute of their lives.

It's not really something you can fully understand until you actually interact with people are affected by such things.  You won't get much out of just seeing them on TV.  But you'd have to have a clear and non-judgemental mindset to actually understand it.  It's hard to understand things that don't affect you personally.

I still can't get r1q2 to work for me, compiles fine, just won't run, no errors or anything, just nothing.  So I'll using the version of aprq2 that Jay Dolan has on his site, compiles and runs just fine for me, and using r1gl with it

If you have a MySpace or a Facebook there are poker apps you can use, such as Poker Palace and Texas Hold'em.  Might want to give those a try.  Also here is a Poker game you can download and play offline or online if you wish http://www.pokerth.net/
