I'm going to be getting back into the game... again... for good this time hopefully, lol. But I'm wanting to shed my weaboo past, and use the name Archangel. This name isn't already taken by any like high profile players or anything is it? Wouldn't want anyone to think I was trying to impersonate anybody or steal someones name.

Howdy!

Well... there is a player who is active who has used the name "Arch^i^Angel" for a long time. (il.comcast.net)

There have also been some other uses last year, "ArchAngel" (dsl.snlo01.sbcglobal.net), and "archangel" (msl-mt.client.bresnan.net).

Ok, thanks, so the one guy spells it differently and the other two were probably not that important. That's all I needed to know

Also, is there any problems with me having my forum name looking all fancy like that? I rather like it, but if it causes problems then I'll change it to normal letters.

Thanks for the welcomes, I'm going to try to play tonight after work, but I have to rush off now before I'm late.

I still can't get r1q2 to work for me, compiles fine, just won't run, no errors or anything, just nothing. So I'll using the version of aprq2 that Jay Dolan has on his site, compiles and runs just fine for me, and using r1gl with it

If you need another name, I'm pretty sure that p33w33, PeWe, P££W££ and pea weeee are not taken either.

Just been busy, haven't really played any games in a long time. More or less just sleeping and going to work and having a bad relationship that I am now out of, thank god, figured it was time to get back into the swing of things.

took my time getting things tweaked the way I wanted it, but now I think I'm ready to start playing again. I'm using Aprq2 from Jay Dolan's site with the r1gl renderer running at 1440x900, the hi-res texture pak, and a pak I threw together using pics and sounds from Focalor's site. Runs great in single player, now heading off to the servers for some FFA

PakScape runs very well under Wine btw.

Matter of opinion only, apr for me is significantly more enjoyable to play with.

I would, but I can never seem to get it to work. It compiles just fine, but I can never get the client to run. I'm probably just doing something wrong, but I use what I can get to work.

I am however using r1gl with it
