If you hit the Reply button, look under the empty text field and click "Additional Options..." Then browse to your demo.dm2 file.

I do, maximum file size is 0 kb.

I have a demo of the game after the first, in which he said that, since I can't post files.

Update: I've noticed that Demos that Quake makes smooth out your aiming in the file.

It is, very specific to Radeon and Quake engines. Google it, you'll find plethoras of problems.

UPDATE: Okay, 1. Wouldn't let me post the file to next problem, but I fixed it. Something in Pak9 was making everything very very brightly miscolored.

Yeah, that worked. Another update, I have to use the Aprq2 with the sw after the name, not sure why. And now I'm receiving the underwater crash again... Don't know how to fix, because the sw mode provides me with no options to change the graphics provider...

Alright, I've installed aprq2... Now how do I make xfire compatible with it? Would I rename the game exe to quake2 exe?

I've always managed to do alright with base settings :) Just won my first DM match, in the xtra server. Wasn't very talkative, seeing as the game constantly fills my log with reminders that I don't have the weapon models. :)
I looked up APRQ2 yesterday, found something saying it was all about Linux? I'll go check in your files to see what the hobnobbery's all about.

Hmmm. Anyway I can just throw some brighter skins in the base game then? Replace the files in the paks included with the game with the downloaded ones, correct?

Update: Refuses to let me switch to Gl, failure to load ref_gl.dll
Think it has to do with that graphics card.

Okay, so to add the additional paks, they get renamed Pak 9. I add all the tweaks together into the same pak?

Update: I can't use R1Q2, due to a very specific problem dealing with Radeon cards and OpenGl. And something involving Windows Vista. :/ Had this same thing happen to Quake 3.

I'm new to Quake 2, but not Quake 3 or 4, so I know that generally, there's a way to make enemy models brighter. Hoping someone could help me with that, also wondering how to make the game overall look better, or have the weapon show itself when it's set to centered. On a final note, sometimes, I'll get inexplicable packet loss, for random amounts of time. I've scouted the forum, somebody else had this problem. Guess I'll gauge on how often it is before I seek assistance.
