Modern music starting sucking right around 1994.  Today it's a vast wasteland.

I've gone back and started listening to artists I kind of ignored in the 80's,   Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry, Brain Eno, etc.  They rock!

I recently upgraded my AMD Athlon XP 2800 on an Asus A7V8X-X with a BFG Nvidia FX5700 Ultra to an AMD 64 3400+ 939 on an Asus A8V-XE with an EVGA Nvidia 6600GT.  I know it's not a big upgrade but I'm cheap OK!

Normally I would assume I would need to reinstall Windows. I was surprised that I was able to boot up even after installing all the new hardware. I did get a bunch of pop ups notifying me of a new this and that but I closed those out and uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new drivers. I also had to re activate Windows as I would expect.

Talk about a big surprise and it saved me tons of time. System is stable and running great!   Doom 3 on high quality looks great! :bananaw00t:

I've installed the R1Q2 client and have the anticheat.dll module as well.  Why does the server keep asking me to upgrade to an anti cheat client?

Once in a while during play a console message will come up indicating "player x was frozen for exceeding the speed limit".  What is that?

A player logs into the DM server.  Let's call him...oh I don't know.... how about Krap.  Console logs that Krap has joined the game and that Krap is NOTusing anticheat.  The next line howerver then reads something like Krap:NoCheat [IP] blah blah blah and the rest.  Is the server just confused?

Should be obvious.  Came from my dial up days when I had a 200+ ping.  Now that I'm on ATT/Yahoo super duper DSL and have a <45 Ping!  I get asked during play "hey Lee, what's with that name?", "You got a 35 ping!".

OK then what about BFG damage?  Again, when the better players shoot a BFG round at me I can be turned around a corner and I still get pulverized.  WTF?!?!  But there have been times when I seem to have them cornered and fire a BFG round but they somehow manage to escape unfragged.  Again I say WTF?!?!  It can't always be that they had mega health, full armor, etc. can it?

I've noticed that hits from some of the better players (Elysium, Android, ...etc) seem to inflict more damage than similar hits from other players.

If you're standing next to a corpse, and the corpse gets squished and explodes, the explosion can reorient you even though you don't take damage from it.

I don't think this has ever happened while a corpse is nearby.  However, a weapon have been close and when a weapon is crushed it does explode so that could explain it.
