I ended up staying outside w/family at a park enjoying the weather so I didn't make this one, but would like my vote counted to have another event like this very soon

Hello all. Been silent on these forums for years.. but, play the dm server often
Questions, as I've never participated in any of these events: - Do I just show up and if there's room on the server, join in? - If the event starts at 6pm Eastern time, and I happen to show up at 7pm, can I still join, tho I know my chances of winning have been diminished from the hour everyone else has racked up frags. - My 15 yr old son may want to participate... so would there be any issues if the 2 of us from the same IP join? Thanks for keeping Q2 alive with your servers and this forum/community! Great job! - Fooooooooooo!! 3

My bad Railbait. ....time to take up Halo and Half life2... maybe pacman. 4

Coolio Rail. I'll be on tonite for some practice.
Let's see if they can agree to 11:30pm EST Sunday... I would hope it's not a problem if we go over midnite since that's the deadline. 6

I would agree to teaming w/Railbait and I would be availble to play anytime 10pm-1am Eastern either Sat. nite 7/30 or Sun nite 7/31. I would prefer Sun nite for obvious reasons and we can go as early as 9pm ... but I'll go with whatever all 4 of us can agree with between those 2 nites.
Rail, if u agree to team with me... u know where to find me tonite. 7

Geikram & I would've picked ztn2dm4. It's Fri morning and I don't have a partner and no match has been set so I can prolly be considered out of this ... heck, I'll play u guys 1v2 just in spirit of the tourneys. It'll be a forced lesson on lerning to strafe run as fast as possible to run away from both of yas

Laurelin, it's Thurs. evening and haven't found a replacement... just wanted to let u know I've been on it. On Railbait's situation... I don't know where I'd fit in, but who knows the possibilities. Boy, it's gettin down to the wire. 9

Geikram, take care of yourself and family first & foremost... kindof tuff to play Q2 or do anything without any power in ur area. Don't worry about me here... these guys will do whatever is fair and I'll accept whatever they decide to do.
Hey... there's always that 4v4 to look forward to. 10

Congrats to Naymlis & Daelmun of course... but most of all, to the TastySpleen powers that be... Laurelin, Console and everyone in charge, webspace management, moderating the zillion forums threads, managing all details of the ongoing tourneys, the refs and everyone's been a good sport. I'd like to know how many people entail the TastySpleen "staff" doing all of the chores required to running this like a well oiled machine.
I learned a lot and continue to learn. Laurelin, I wish I could even come close to your skillz as a Q2 ambassador of sorts... contacting all of the different communities... I can't stress this enuff for this game's survival. 11
Discussion / Re: UDML 4v4 q2 fall season at tastyspleen?« on: July 20, 2005, 08:00:35 PM »
Laurelin, Sean... well yes I am in this for the fun and also to help support the way these tourneys bring many of the dwindling Q2 communitites together. If 3 other clanmates show interest in this, then we will surely be in. I assume the maps would have to be large... like dm8 size. I can't imagine doin 4v4 in Edge.
In attmepts of "practicing" for the 2v2.... Geikram & I played a 2v2 scrim vs. Punisher and I think it was Estonian (you guys prolly know these 2 better then we do) ... we got thrashed and smashed not only out of this universe, but out of this dimension ... we didn't even have a chance to use loc & drop binds cause we couldn't even get to weaps and armour fast enuff to put up a fight... they were way too fast for us. Yet, we'll still go at it and keep trying... this is very different from ffa which we all eventually get bored with and just load up another game totally... so this is all good for keeping Q2 interesting ... forgive my rambling... 12

A fascinating idea... "team deathmatch".... so does this mean weapstay "on"????
If weapstay "OFF" ... then this spells disaster for inexperienced team players (such as me), cause we'll die then spawn w/blasters and find the key weaps camped, err, no, "controlled" by seasoned team opponents. Score: 0 - 120 13

Laurelin and the powers that be here...
I regret to inform you that [4u2]BigLurch is dropping out of the tourney due to personal reasons that will take him away from being online. He apologizes to Railbait as he was looking forward to some fun in practicing and the matches of course. I have also contacted Cannonball who was on the fence, and it seems he won't be in.... so I guess Railbait is a "free agent" as they say. Thank you gents. 14
Quake / Re: New DM1-8 Server« on: July 18, 2005, 10:08:41 AM »p.s. Console: thanks for including 4u2maps. Some of the best out there, and little known i am afraid. Thanx for the good word Gator! And of course, thank you console! 15

If the matches are chosen in a random fashion... it'd be funny having a couple of 4u2 teams play against each other 1st round ... then again, it'd be fun and that's why we're here, no? LOL!
