EDIT: Just discovered something a little bit annoying. Apparently when Quake2 is loading your paks, it loads the higher numbered/named ones last and what is in those loaded last is what overwrites the stuff in lower numbered paks. BUT... if for some reason you have a skin in a lower numberd pak that is TGA rather than PNG, and your higher numbered pak does NOT have a TGA to overwrite it, it uses the TGA from the lower numbered pak and puts it on the model from the higher numbered pak. Fuckin' weird. But T is later in the alphabet than P, so I guess that's what it's doing.

Probably sounds confusing, huh? Confused the hell outta me at first until I figured out what was happening. So I'm gonna have to go back and convert the PNG's to additional TGA's in case someone drops one of these into a folder using a model with a TGA.

Hey, what do you think of giving ANY NEWS about the map rotation to mutant or dm server? I thought of two suggestions ...
q2e1m2: To bring nostalgia and fun, this map is very fun and definitely a classic(q1 remake)! It is a beautiful conversion, created in late 98.

hipdm1: The design of this map(map of q1 mission pack#1) is as creative as q2dm1. I rembro which was formerly very popular in dm matches, then I believe that is correct bring it back!

hipdm1 and q2e1m2 were already available via 'mymap' on mutant, however hipdm1 has now been added to vanilla as well.

As for mutant in general, I think not just a fresh map rotation but also a cleaning out of some of the least playable maps from 'mymap' on that server would be helpful.

I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung was behind all of these videos, after all they, and all other competitors, have been effortlessly advertising against the iPhone... Lets face it, Apple IS the best.. I don't strive to have everything new apple has to offer, but I do own a variety of their products because it is way more convenient to my every day living and workflow. I currently own a mac pro desktop (which I'm looking to sell fyi ) a macbook pro retina, Apple TV, iPad retina, a Cinema Display and a 5s. I buy all my movies through iTunes now, which can be accessed by any of my devices through the iCloud unless I download them into it. Any time I travel I always have my iPad for entertainment I can reply to emails from 20k feet in the air without having to whip out my laptop. My Cinema Display features plug and play for my laptop, which is amazing, My soundcard and midi are plugged in directly into it making access to my studio a piece of cake; Walk in plug the cables into my laptop close it and start working. AirDrop is one of the best features most don't know about. When I am on the road I can order pickup, Uber, ticketless check-in at airport, Send stems to master via dropbox and so on, directly from my 5s. Now that Apple Pay will come into effect pfff. Although I can agree that there is a small amount of people who buy to have the new hotness, your interpretation of Apple being a shiny useless box with a big price tag is not true.

Hehe. Q2W is and will always be 100% free and open source. It's goal is to borrow some of the best aspects of the Quake series and meld them into a game that is, while better in many regards, still undeniably Quake2. We should chat sometime when your pak is complete, if you're still looking to work on that kind of stuff.

On the plus side Life isn't so bad I'm retired now, and received a multi-million dollar settlement from the cement truck company. I started mapping with Qoole in 1999, and then learned QeRadiant in 2000. I guess, having learned it when I was still a teenager, I never appreciated how odd / unintuitive it is. I've never found the mechanics of mapping to be difficult (with the exception of bending pipes) -- just the creative part

You'll need a newer client like R1Q2 w/ the R1GL video renderer in order to utilize some of the items in this pak which are in PNG format.

...but you posted the screenshots in GIF format with a 256 color palette...!???
