Just wanted to share some screen captures from Goatkilla's work. Looks amazing on my new puter...

*NOW AVAILABLE!*

The only pak compiled, used, and endorsed by the world famous |iR|Goatkilla!
Contains lots of things, too many to list individually in fact. New model skins, new map textures, new sounds, new pics, etc. You'll need a newer client like R1Q2 w/ the R1GL video renderer in order to utilize some of the items in this pak which are in PNG format.

Well, not to hurt your feelings, but I always hated this pak, HAHA! The textures just look bad to me, kinda like an old Atari game. I much prefer R1CH's hi-res texture pak to anything else I've ever seen. Out of all the paks I've ever tested out (and I've downloaded and tested out ASSLOADS of them), I've never liked any of the custom textures and colormaps people used. None of the textures ever looked like they matched the architecture of the Quake2 maps very well.

Ok Constructive criticsm.

Would be cool more detailed textures and:

Think of a dining room.
If the mantle has a grid of rectangles, while the floor with wavy lines, and the curtains have flowers... then is a visual disaster.

I think that first must be defined the aesthetic setting standards line: Following my example: ¿Rectangles? ¿Flowers? ¿wavy lines? The same with the palette.

Maybe I would base my aesthetic (if I had no facility to combine textures) on a photo of some scene of some movie.
in a drawing, or maybe photos or reconstructions of ancient cultures

Would be nice metallic look!

It is very subjective to judge the aesthetic
You can teach me a picture with a complete disaster that for some reason it looks good!!
but in most cases, the artists follow an aesthetic guideline, raised in an beforehand idea

Sometimes it seems a crazy mix, but it is not.. only a complex combination

Sorry for my NO Constructive criticsm about goat's pack, anyways, i understand that was alot of work.
