Take 1 sledge hammer, and with absolute precision, beat the shit outta your DSL router 'till it only JUST works. This will allow someone with DSL in the USA, to have a similar ping to someone with DSL in africa.

I think i bootleg cause my XP is a copy, quake III is a copy, didnt need to get q2  on copy cus its worth mud these days... my norton antivirus is a download too

Back to self induced lag, or raising your ping.

For temporary lag,  try uploading  your 120Gb HD somewhere. That should last a few games. I can maintain about a 350 ping this way.

A more permanent fix would be to install a couple trojans and play while they're active. Yep, that'll do it.
