It's all one big conspiracy. Really it is! Console is watching you and me ... he's all around us, as we speak! He prays on victims like me, telling you and I that I cheat! IT'S NOT TRUE! Do not believe a word he says! So, when he says that I'm packing FRKQ2, Ratbot, Wallhack etc etc ... ITS NOT TRUE! ITS THE CONSPIRACY! Next thing he's gonna take over the world ... oops, I spoke too late ... he already did!

They're his servers, he can do whatever the hell he wants.

Plus, you said yourself that you had those cheats on your system.

hey, anyone can have a cheat on their system if they want (as long as they dont use them on any public server). what if they use them, for when they lan in their house ?

dude, you cant even have the crap on your comp
other then then the timers/glowing skins which are the only cheats (IMO) that cant be detected

well, cheating is dishonest, and i detest it as well, but having cheats on ur pc isnt as worse as having pirated material ! (which some gamers who hates cheating and cheaters prolly have), but for one thing imho, cheating pretty much seems easier to control than bootleg. cheating ruins the fun of course, and forces someone to disconnect the server, and find another one. bootlegging is actually stealing! it ruins the producer as well.

Dr, did you get banned from tastyspleen ? cause im having a feeling that fragger88 is using ur name (jk)

you guys will never get good if you use cheats
your basicly tellign peopel you suck and
and couldnt be bothered to put the effort in to get better

shit! i dont use cheats anyway! infact, i hate for em to be used against me!

and is there a way to purposely higher your ping ?

i tried to set my connection settings in q2 to like dialup.

you could always get a free dial up service and just use that to play quake2

hmm! i tried this before, i was playing on kansas.net last year, (i wasnt using the name of omega shenron that time)
and for some reason, i was lagging, so i complained about it on the server, and one of the players told me to try setting my connection settings to cable (what ever i have) and my ping lowered. if you wanna purposely make your ping higher, try to set the connection settings to lower connections, or run another quake or alot of shit on your pc (you will lag, but the ping meter may list your ping level, the same it always is .

Try setting your rate to 1500. It won't up your ping, but might feel more like dialup. There's probably a few more settings that'll simulate the "dialup feel".
