Quake 2 speedrun

If you don't know, a speedrun is an attempt to play through a game as fast as possible using bugs and glitches to help to get through as fast as possible, but WITHOUT CHEATING. Groobo, from Speed Demos Archive completed Quake II on single player in 19 minutes and 33 seconds. You can download the run here:

Is this pieced together or all done in one run?  If pieced together, how many attempts did each lvl take you on average

I DIDN'T DO THE RUN, groobo did. The whole run took over half a year. You can't really ask a question like that, because speed running is not formulaic in time. Yes, the run was done piece by piece to make it faster and look better. Also, don't ask for demos, parts of the run were simply recorded with FRAPS.
