FFA Frags Per Hour: How high can you get?
«

I was lookin through my q2 folders and found some funny FFA screenies that I'd taken after the match ended and the FPH stats went up in the console:
I don't know if it's possible, but if you were to telefrag multiple people in 0.01 minutes you would be able to get a higher FPH.
I've never seen it done tho...
Has anyone seen a higher score than that?

Algoritm is Frags / time * 60
1 / 0.01 * 60 = 6000 so I have to assume that there is a cap at 4000. If this were accurate to the second then you would be looking at
1 / 0.015 * 60 = 4000
1.5% of one minute is 0.9 seconds. What's the chances of completing two games in exactly 0.9 seconds?
Accuracy would have to be within the 1000th of a percent.
1 / 0.0151 *60 = 3973
1 / 0.0149 * 60 = 4026
1 second is
1 / 60 = 0.0166 (repeating)
So rounding to the nearest second:
1/0.01667 * 60 = 3599
So this has to be a cap on FPH.

The 0.01 is rounded only for the printout, not the FPH calculation.
I think it's probably using milliseconds internally. (But it may not be possible to get a 1 millisecond time.)
I've often considered modifying the FPH board so that a player can't appear in the results unless they were in game for, say, at least 25% of the time it took to complete the map.

There is a goofy map which is filled with BFGs, and invuln, and a quad. You spawn, get the invuln then spawn frag the other players until the map completes. It is as silly and shameful as it sounds, easily 1000 to 2000 fph.
