Quadz,what's the difference between disruptive behaviour inside the game and on these forums?
Can you please explain that to me,reading on this forum we have trolls,and all they do is randomly attack people.
So can you tell me that,people in the game are getting muted,yet these trolls (That have hatred for people,probably bullied at school,or from a broken home) can run about abusing people?

Yet nothing happens to them.  

Please explain.

Quadz doesn't seem to like spending his free time (since he already spends enough of it providing this free service that a bunch of you bitch about incessantly) censoring people unless they are ruining the game for everyone else, because to do so would require him to waste his life playing internet nanny to a bunch of grown up people who should be entirely capable of taking an insult without crying like a little girl. combine this with the fact that posting on the forums is not a game (It's serious bizness!) and you have your answer.

Traditionally we've muted people in the game for spamming, or using some sort of hate speech we felt was over the line.

But as long as they are not exceeding the above limits, we generally have not muted players in game for trolling or smack talk, etc.

Historically we've used fairly similar criteria on the forums.

These days we're attempting to keep the "Quake Related Topics" section of the boards a bit more, well, on-topic.
