hey peewee...is there any chance we can get the rotamods server back up? You said that you would work on it last weekend...

Me and some others really want to play it.

Server is up but something is blocking the port. I'll try to get this sorted out tonight.

Sorry for the delay. We just moved so I've been putting this stuff off.

After I fix the port issue I'm sure that Quadz can restore the goto feature to that server.

check the firewall on your modem, that was what was blocking me for a while.

Yeah, I forwarded those quickly before I left for work. I'm thinking that either I'm using a strange port in my server config by accident, I specified something the wrong in q2admin like the serverIP value, or some other goofy 2 minute fix. As soon as i get in front of that machine again I'll be able to find it and squash it.

Nope. I'm running the server off of my desktop right now and I'd rather not make that one a DMZ. Whenever I reinstall my real server I probably will.

As for the current server, I tried again this morning briefly with no luck. I think it's my router and due to the fact that the server has to be connected wirelessly for the time being. I'll try getting it hooked up directly or installing the real server as soon as i can

I don't mean perminitly, I mean just to test & see if it's your hardware (computer, router, modem) or perhaps your ISP. I always turn my comp to DMZ when they're an issue to eliminate a possible issue.

No luck.

I've had similar problems with this router before. I'm going to try to switch back to my old one in the morning. If that meets with no success then it's an ISP problem.
